Oh look... I called Jey #1/Jimmy #2 yesterday
Rumble was a pretty fine event overall. Nothing bad, nothing outstandingly good, I feel. Some cool moments as always, but also quite a few rather bad or at least questionable decisions. I dunno why you would show a clock with the spent time in the Match for Bayley, Naomi and Bianca, when at that point of them showing the times, Ivy Nile AND Katana Chance both were longer in the Match than Bianca. ...I mean, yea, they did that (probably) because Bianca is the bigger name, but heck that's a stupidly missed opportunity to boost Ivy and Katana a bit in favor of an already established big name. The Women's Rumble in general felt pretty fluff/filler-heavy.
Cody going back-to-back is pretty cool. Even though it was predictable, I still didn't expected they'd give him that win. Of course, who knows, if this was the original plan... Bron/Gunther gonna be our IC Title Match at Mania, I'm pretty sure now.
Speaking of weird decisions... The last Smackdown guy entering the Rumble was Austin Theory at #13. The rest was, aside from Bron, Pat and Omos, all RAW talent. Overall of the 60 participants only 15 were "Smackdown Talent". Brand split ftw
