I think the argument of no surprises is a bad one. Sure, the fun about the Royal Rumble is that anyone can enter, but it's not like no surprises makes the match worse. That's the main point I've seen besides the blandness

I would say I'm more interested in the possible direction of things *if* Cody beats Roman, than I am in just actually seeing Cody beat Roman.
