My God in heaven, Kevin has been snapped in half along with the ladder. Bent steal and broken bones curled up in a bloody ball of mess.

Ladder bent so hard and fast that Kevin‘s heels basically went over his neck and he just sunk right into the rung of the ladder head first.

And Cody is still my champion. There was no other ending to the story after that. That was a foregone conclusion.

This is how it should be done. This is match, psychology, and storytelling masterfully done. You take a spot that impactful and you let it breathe and it finishes the match. You cannot continue a match after something like that without ruining what you just did there. Cody just rightfully won the match and Kevin is selling the shit out of that spot. Cody celebrates his triumphant victory in the battle while Kevin has yet to move. Brilliantly done.

Now, CM punk is gonna come for Cody to stop him from reaching his 434 days as WWE champion.

I wasn’t so sure this should’ve continued after main event but TV on SmackDown since has convinced me and this match was incredible.
