WON: What really happened regarding the Billy Gunn/DX Reunion situation

This is bit of a long-winded article in the Observer, but the basic gist of it is: Regarding whether or not there was any chance of Billy Gunn appearing for the DX Reunion, Dave says there were in fact talks. There was never any money involved, WWE didn't offer any, and Tony didn't ask for any. He says Tony wanted WWE to mention AEW similar to how they did with Mickie James as the Royal Rumble. WWE kept going back and forth on yes and no and at the last minute decided not to do it. Dave says he was surprised that there were even talks at all because as the situation currently is between AEW and WWE, Dave's answer would've been a hard no. He talks about them letting Billy Gunn appear for the Hall of Fame and that situation where Triple H made some derogatory remarks about AEW. Regarding the Brian James (Road Dogg) interview/podcast where he talked about this situation, Dave says it's possible he didn't know about this and in fact in that interview James himself admits that he isn't in the "inner circles" anymore.
So Road Dogg talking out of his ass? NO WAY! SHOCKED!
