The Raw two days after SummerSlam and the returns of Brock Lesnar and Becky Lynch, neither of whom were on the episode, did the show's best viewership since January.
The show even beat the night after WrestleMania, and drew Raw's best rating in the 18-49 demo since the night after WrestleMania.
Raw averaged 2.07 million viewers last night. It drew a 0.64 rating in 18-49 and an exceptionally strong 0.41 rating in 18-34.
Raw was second for the night in 18-49, trailing an NFL pre-season football game on ESPN that did 3.37 million viewers and a 0.99 in 18-49. For total viewers, Raw was ninth behind the NFL and seven news shows.
The nine percent drop from the first to third hour was larger than usual for this summer, but since the first hour was so high, it's not anything to put much stock in.
As compared to last week, the show was up 11 percent in viewers, 28 percent in 18-49, and 25 percent in 18-34.
As compared to one year ago, Raw was up two percent in viewers, down four percent in 18-49, and up 24 percent in 18-34. Last year's episode this week was the heavily promoted first show in the ThunderDome. But it does make seven straight weeks that total viewers were up from the same show one year ago.
The first-to-third hour drops were five percent in women 18-49, seven percent in men 18-49, 31 percent with teenage girls, 27 percent with teenage boys, and eight percent with people over 50.
The three hours were:
- 8 p.m. 2.15 million viewers
- 9 p.m. 2.09 million viewers
- 10 p.m. 1.96 million viewers
