But the smaller indies are doing fairly good, but the "super indys" like MLW and NWA are stuck in a spot where they don't have much room to grow.
The fact that AEW was able to rise up from the ashes of what you’re talking about shows that it was entirely possible. Wrestling just isn’t the genre of entertainment that can support larger than realistically a top three and the third one is always a distant third.Hard disagree when they cannibalized the indy scene for a majority of the 2010s, and then AEW came around and also kind of further destroyed the roster for indy companies to have high grade popular talent.
The problem is there doesn't need to be a big four or big five. But more companies having TV deals is, overall, good for wrestling, and good for wrestlers.Smart Marx said:The fact that AEW was able to rise up from the ashes of what you’re talking about shows that it was entirely possible. My previous reply aside, though I do agree the rise of AEW kind of killed a lot of other companies at the same time. TNA, Ring of Honor and MLW have honestly never regained a fraction of what they had prior although I think TNA might get closer in the next two years, but I mean autonomous Ring of Honor’s demise is kinda sad.Hard disagree when they cannibalized the indy scene for a majority of the 2010s, and then AEW came around and also kind of further destroyed the roster for indy companies to have high grade popular talent.
I don't see anyone being negative.Storm Trooper said:Clearly while it's great to have more people here, it brought the negativity. I hate the negativity so I'ma head out. Watch the show with people who enjoy wrestling instead of enjoying shitting on WWE constantly.
No one is fucking shitting on WWE lmao. If anything you’re shitting on smaller companies.Clearly while it's great to have more people here, it brought the negativity. Man it's a shame that none of these companies everyone wants on National Television provide a viable television product. These TV networks aren't gonna give up TV time for low rent, low rate garbage. Right now WWE and AEW, and to a lesser extent TNA are viable TV products.

The only problem is, it was on after Raw and either nobody had it or the ones that did didnt know it was on. The problem is that MLW and NWA dont have anything that screams "you MUST put us on national television", and even if they were on national television...who's to say they don't get a shitty time slot.
Of course it’s good for wrestling but tv companies generally don’t want the fifth largest wrestling company. Unless they themselves are a super small station. Like the channel that carries WOW.The problem is there doesn't need to be a big four or big five. But more companies having TV deals is, overall, good for wrestling, and good for wrestlers.
