For some reason I always thought a lights out match as a post-show match historically

Unsanctioned is different in this context too, it was a scheduled and signed match approved by the company, Johnny just got the stip added so the company wouldn't be liable for injuries. The last time they did one for Gargano/Ciampa they did the whole lights out gimmick and all but the story there was ciampa wasn't even employed so they wouldn't sanction him to even compete but gargano forced them to do something
