I think this further eases my fears that they'd stick Ricky Starks in NXT too if he leaves lol if Ethan debuts attacking the most popular guy in NXT, Ricky is main roster level

So true and saddens me to say that because if you ever watched any of his Vlogs or Toy Vlogs you can see how lovable he can be. Somehow the way he acts there vs on TV hasn't worked out for him as of yet as a Singles talent.
