The thing is, NXT 1.0 when it ran unopposed was in the 800,000s. They could have literally changed not one thing about NXT 1.0 and sleptwalked to 700,000s/.2ish

I think the change to NXT 2.0 was too severe and too sudden, a classic case of overcorrection. This should have been done slowly if at all, a gradual metamorphosis instead of a breakneck transformation. Where we are now with NXT is maybe where we should have been in about Christmas 2022.

However, WWE doesn't really know how to do subtle. WWE is as subtle as a blowtorch to the balls. Something like this needed to be done patiently and deftly, not immediately and clumsily.
