My point is he didn't need to drop the title and turn it into a prop to get over on Bron. I understand being happy for ziggler but like, it's completely see through it's just a transition to mania, and its meaningless. I'm not trying to take away from being enjoying the moment, I'm critiquing the shortsightedness of the booking and devaluing of the title. And unfortunately, WWE has done this a lot in the past so it has precedent.

From my pov, that's not how you build a dominant face champion. You don't have him lose at his first big challenge that's not a one on one direct match-up. I strongly and vehemently am against the idea that not being pinned in a championship match as the champion protects you because losing the title is much much worse. There is a million ways to get heat for ziggler and make him look strong without him pinning the champion to win the title. that's my honest opinion on the booking and why it sucks.

edit: they need to learn some god damn patience and let champions not named Roman be dominant. Bron doesn't need to be rushed to main roster, he needs a long dominant run in nxt with rich feuds where he can develop his character. not play hot potato with the title for a rushed mania moment. just my 2 cents

I’m just saying, he didn’t exactly get beaten himself, so I wouldn’t say he jobbed out. He didn’t win sure, but he also wasn’t the one to take the pin and that can be important sometimes. But hey, maybe we just look at the terms differently, and maybe I’m a little bias because I’m happy for Ziggler. But I also think beating a former World Champion, would be big for Bron, even if he isn’t exactly treated right. But hey, I respect your view on it, and understand why you feel like you do.

The story is Bron actually ISN'T ready too bc he got duped into turning this into a triple threat and the announcers kept saying that was a mistake so for the next few weeks they need to make sure to push that this was a mistake he learned from as a rookie due to his pride. Infinitely more excited for the Stand and Deliver match than i was before when i just assumed Bron would pin Ciampa and Ziggler would cry about not getting a one on one shot

For once I would actually be mega surprised. I just figure they crown him here infront of a bigger audience and then wouldn't be surprised if he does a short solo program with Roode afterwards.

Well they only fit like 200 people max in the PC for one I don't see how you can argue its not a bigger event than a Tuesday NXT show

I meant, like, more people are not watching this on TV than a NXT ppv at a regular time. obviously its a bigger venue then the pc, but we're not exactly talking massive national exposure here either unless the match is at Mania. Hell, I'm not evgen sure at that time slot more people will watch it than a tuesday night episode (live) . maybe theres an argument itll be on the network/peacock for replay after but thats applicable to any other NXT show too

if we're talking international numbers sure but since when do we count those . seems like were arguing semantics here, i genuinely dont think this will be seen by any more AMERICAN viewers than any other nxt ppv or show, if that makes you happier.

Jeff I'm simply saying that NXT Stand and Deliver on WrestleMania Saturday even despite being at noon is a bigger event than any single Tuesday NXT episode whether it has a name or not and I don't understand how you can argue in good faith that it isn't. I'm not comparing it to prior TakeOvers. I'm comparing it to current Tuesday NXTs
