Raw hasn't had enough credible challengers for it's own brand, let alone being able to spare some for SmackDown

Sami Zayn vs. JD McDonagh (Kickoff Match)​

Sami Zayn is tired of the antics of The Judgment Day and is stepping up to take on JD McDonagh as part of WWE Crown Jewel Kickoff.

Zayn has been battling The Judgment Day for months, and with Kevin Owens now on SmackDown, he was forced to go it alone in a standoff against McDonagh and “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio.

That bravery was rewarded by Ricochet, who evened the odds and had a match against Mysterio, but Zayn now wants McDonagh on one of WWE’s grandest stages: Crown Jewel.​

Crazy Sami went from main event in Saudi to preshow in Saudi in less than a year.

By all accounts they were bringing some talent over to Saudi who weren't gonna be on the card so I wouldn't be surprised if Sami was one of them and they just slotted him in here for the crowd

My Predictions (because everyone cares lol)

Roman Reigns - everyone thinking LA Knight has a shot are the same people who's been fooled by Edge, McIntyre, Zayn, and Cody. This title isn't going anywhere anytime soon, NAH NAH!

Drew McIntyre - This is the full-fledged heel turn for his "moment in front of people." McIntyre finds the cheap route to beat Rollins and become World Heavyweight Champion. If he doesn't, I'm refreshing Meltzer's twitter to see when McIntyre's contract expires.

Rhea Ripley - In multi-person matches does the champion rarely lose their title. Rousey likely pins Zoey Stark before entering a feud with one of the other three... or Becky following Crown Jewel.

Logan Paul - As much as I don't want this, Logan Paul is getting the US title. He'll put it on Impaulsive and wherever else he goes leading up to Survivor Series where he should then drop to LA Knight. It'll come across to some as compensatory for LA Knight after losing to Reigns, but this will be LA Knight's first title and he can't take it off a babyface Mysterio.

Iyo Sky - Bianca usually shines in these big moments but Iyo needs to avenge her Backlash loss to Belair. Winning this match will give her solo victories against Belair, Charlotte, and Asuka during her title reign and will help validate Iyo Sky before every challenger clears the path for Bayley.

Cody Rhodes - Cody doesn't lose this one, and Priest doesn't need to beat Cody. He's got the briefcase. Cody is on his road to redemption like Cena was many years ago and a Crown Jewel win helps.

John Cena - I'm really torn on this one, and it's the only 50/50 on the show for me. Cena not winning a singles match in 2020 days is an insane statistic. Cena can make Solo Sikoa look good without giving Solo the win. Perhaps Jimmy Uso finds a way to get involved, or Jey Uso? This win might not come clean, but Cena could finally win a match and who knows, gets a rematch against Reigns at Survivor Series or the Royal Rumble for his 17th world title​

I'm pretty out of touch with what's going on, but I did watch the Reigns/Knight promo. Knight's so damn good on the stick, Roman didn't even have anything worth to add to that segment. Sucks Knight's taking the L, but someday he'll get the strap.
