His cabinet is looking to be full of people who I don't think are necessarily qualified to be in those positions. I am wondering if this might end up being a good idea. I mean rather than use a lot of career politicians , find people who might do things differently.

I dunno. I hope it works and isn't a colossal failure.

I do actually like Linda McMahon so I'm happy for her.

Massive fan of Trump putting a woman who does not know what the minimum wage is both in the state of Connecticut, and on a national level, nor if the employees in the massive multi million company she owns a large stake in receive said minimum wage in charge of small businesses.

>appoints one of the people that crushed every small wrestling organization and monopolized an entire industry to small business department.

The wrestling industry was monopolized before Vince and Linda took over during the 1980s. Those small wrestling organizations belonged to the NWA, which had a monopoly over most of the country. Unless you were the AWA or WWWF, the NWA destroyed you. And with the two organizations not a part of them, they still all worked together. It was just beneficial to the AWA and to the WWWF to work outside the NWA.

Waiiiit a minute. I'm glad she got the spot and all... had to figure the mcmahon's would benefit somehow from a trump presidency.... but does this mean that we have "no chaaaance. ....no chance in helllll" of the pg disappearing for a long long time?

Like, I figured it wouldn't. ..but also thought that a trump presidency could make it a little more acceptable for them to do whatever that wanted... but I definitely can't see it happening with linda in an actual government role.

The whole PG rating really isn't that bad. Aside from the no-blood thing I don't mind it.

NWA wasn't a monopoly since it was hardly a company. It was a governing body. Their job was to contain and up-hold regulations amongst members. It's members were separate entities. If Stampede wanted to split, they could. NWA wouldn't try to fight back because NWA was just a banner. By the time NWA started holding shows under their own banner, it was because their numbers were dwindling.

Yup. As long as you paid the membership fee and booked the champions, the NWA did not care what each separate promotion did. Far from a monopoly

Yeah that's probably the biggest gripe I have. And the corny dialogue at times. I'd really like to see the wrestlers have natural dialogue. Give them a premise and let them go from there.

Well that's not a PG problem that's a writing/creative problem. Giving the talent more freedom doesn't mean they have to curse or make sex jokes...just let em' speak their mind on a given topic.

Using your logic, Major League Baseball is not a monopoly when in fact it has one in the form of its antitrust exemption from the federal government. Major League Baseball teams can prevent rival teams from within a certain radius. San Jose would love to build the Oakland Athletics a new stadium, but the San Francisco Giants have veoted the move. The city of San Jose sued but could not get the lawsuit to continue on account of the antitrust exemption.

And you're incorrect about the NWA fighting back. It made sure that its members were able to monopolize the regions that they were in. They all agreed not to compete with one another for business. When Angelo Poffo started International Championship Wrestling to compete against Memphis, the other promoters sent their talent, loading up Memphis with talent to crush IWC. When Ray Gunkel of Georgia died, his wife wanted to take over the organization. His business partners did not want her involved. She started her own company, and the NWA did the same to bury her organization.

The NWA, which is comprised of its member promotions, had a history of monopolizing reigions and black balling wrestlers. My recommendation is to find Jim Wilson's Cholkhold. It tells the story of the NWA very well.

A bunch of millenials thinking that trump is a moron, Linda is a moron, and that WWE is evil and monopolized wrestling. Not a surprise.

WWE is a business. Just like any business they do want to destroy competition and win. They've done that just as any other company tries to do. I'm not saying they haven't done anytnjng shady, or thag they're perfect, but they're in it to make as much $ as possible.... how's that a shocker? Lol

That's why a lot of people voted for Trump. His cabinet is looking like an "anti-Politician" cabinet, which means an objective look at how politics are. As career politicians, they're so used to, and so complacent, that they ignore the cries, the pain, or the vocal of the Americans.

I too, hope that this isn't a colossal failure.
I do actually like Linda McMahon so I'm happy for her.
I also like Linda McMahon. She opposes what Gawker did to Hogan - she thought what Gawker did was wrong. And I agree. Trump and McMahon both want Small Business to get tax breaks, and rollback a lot of the regulations that are in place for Small Business.

WWE went PG because of many reasons. 1. The public image surrounding WWE, especially during elections (Linda ran for Congress to eventually become a governor of Connecticut). 2. To reach more and more moms and dads to take their kids to WWE tapings. 3. The network (USA Network) has strict "rules" as to what kind of content can be aired. DX even did a press conference mocking USA Network's antics towards WWE. But, currently, WWE is heading towards WWE Attitude era-style booking, and storylines.

They can do it regardless if she takes an official role in the cabinet. The problem wasn't that, the problem was that, during elections, "WWE is a violent company" can be used against Linda. And it was.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I voted for Obama in 2009. I didn't in 2012 because it was the "same ol', same ol'," as in nothing special happening in the election of 2012. I even studied Obama in college as part of an English project. This time, I paid more attention to the current election because of the many controversies surrounding Trump. People are overreacting to most of the campaign. I admit I did at once, because I am Latino. I took a step backwards and thought about what he said - his comment towards Latinos (and Latinas) were vague, but I began to understand what he meant. He wanted to filter out the criminal Latinos that come through U.S. and Clinton played that whole thing up throughout the whole thing. IGNORING what he meant.

But it plays to Trump's favor because to get the kind of national media coverage that Trump got, you'd need about $6-9 Billion in advertising and/or marketing budget. Basically, Trump got a lot of free press, a lot of free advertising, a lot of air time, a lot of marketing, too. He reached just about EVERYONE, and that's the whole point of his antics.

Trump is the most rounded nominee for any presidential run. He was Republican, he was Democrat, he was Reform, he was Independent. He's just running as Republican to become our president-elect. That's all there is to it. It just makes me curious, what kind of political scale is he going to be as our President? Republicans control the senate now, but I mean, which one of his previous scales is he going to use as the President of United States? That's my question.

Hopefully, he and Linda can work together to help new startups, or new Small Business get started or grow. Because right now, a lot of barriers are right in front of Startups and Small Businesses. I hope Trump/McMahanon fixes the many regulations imposed on Startups/Small Businesses.

And no, Linda's not this "nazi" or whatever you claim that she is. If you paid any attention to Linda back in her days as C.E.O., you'll know that she's not the kind of person that would flip a switch just to get what she wants, like Vince. Also, Trump isn't much of a racist, or sexist, or whatever you can come up with. A lot of people are being racist pigs against Trump supporters or against Trump... When Obama took office, Blacks had a hard time living because of the racism. But there shouldn't have been racism under THIS election. Trump is just another white man taking office. And likewise, Trump isn't the only person to be labeled as a white extremist, nazi, sexist, racist, or whatever you can come up with - Some Vice Presidents to the POTUS have been labeled all of the above. So, I mean, people are overreacting.

That being said, hopefully Trump is sworn in, and Linda takes that post.

He isn't doing anything new. Bush did the exact same thing. Hiring people who were completely against the agencies they were then leading. Looking for objectives views rather than rational understanding of the purpose and benefit of the agency.
