So I am doing my BTB and suddenly the document closes, and deletes the completed show. It says it got recovered, but all the recovered item shows is heaps of question marks. There is a TMP file there, but it can not be located. When I try to open the file, it says a converter is needed, but it can't install the converter.

Can anyone help me retrieve this document, cause I like, would like it back.

You're using Microsoft Word, right?

If it's Microsoft Word 2007 and you're trying to open the document in Word 2003.... then when you open the document, it probably contains language characters and formatting that do not match the language version of Word 2003, and if you close and then re-open the document, the foreign language text has been replaced by question marks.

To resolve this problem, you must have/ install the foreign language version of Microsoft Office 2003 or open the document in Word 2007 that matches the language of the document. The document then will have that language as the installation language and will be encoded to earlier versions of Word.
