Reminder that WWE did in fact block Lex from being at Stings retirement n denied aew using any footage. Now book on their PPVs , all in n summer tour around FD . N now have the fucking nerve to ask for this. Literally corny ass trump like behavior.

I think tk should still let him do it because it's Steve Borden n lex friendship. But fuck WWE for being hypocrites and reprehensible pieces of shit as a company . They even waited too long to induct him n now get a pat on the back after lex got himself back on his feet with DDP help. How is this the baby face company to so many insane. And as usual I'll be labeled the loud crazy one I'm sure as usual.

The fact that wrestlers break kayfabe on a daily basis now but you’re worried about two old dudes supporting each other’s legacy is just hilarious.

You know I was talking about the company and not any of you right?
Ahh. Okay. Just the timing was weird. Fair enough.

DDP is inducting Luger officially.

I bet Sting will be there, don't know if he'll be acknowledged or on-camera.

People blasting Tony on Facebook, but did WWE, or Sting, or anyone actually approach him? Like I think it's so dumb to blast him without knowing the facts.

Man that's bullshit. People are stupid.

Cooperation is a 2 way street. WWE has not been cooperative with AEW so why would AEW need to be cooperative now? Obviously a Hall of Fame is a different animal than a wrestling show but still.

Also maybe WWE never asked. Also who's to say that Sting won't be involved as a surprise guest?

Obviously just my theory but I feel the most likely scenario is Sting was never asked or he was but he said no himself bc he didn't want to put Tony in an awkward position when he knows things are hot rn. I think if Tony explicitly said no, we would already have pretty clear proof and not speculation bc someone would have been mad and told them lol

I agree that the most logical explanation is Lex went to the company and said something like “I want Sting to induct me” or “Do you think we can get Sting?”

And there was no follow up because WWE knew the answer would be no.

And it’s a shame. Because Dutch Mantell talked about this and he said “it’s not about WWE; it’s not about AEW; it’s about Lex” and I agree.

I wish it could’ve worked out differently for him but DDP is still a great second option

I really can't imagine them just flat out not even trying, that would just be weird as fuck.

I mean if I was a wild and crazy guy, I bet DDP is doing the induction so Sting can show up in a surprise appearance after the speech

I'm just getting flashbacks of Kevin Nash saying he was told he couldn't go to Sting's retirement by WWE but then when Lex himself and others were there just not on camera he backtracked and was like "well I didn't ask because I didn't want to put anyone in an awkward position" lol

Bummer that it’s not Stinger but DDP is a great choice to do it since all he has done for Lex recently.

Probably for the best that it wasn’t Sting because him being there would’ve probably overshadowed Luger’s moment, not that it would be any fault of Sting but he’d be what people would be talking about after the show.
