This topic was discussed a little bit in the Rate Fyter Fest Thread, but i wanted to expand on it here for a few reasons, there is room for discussion on the subject so i wanted to put a few things into perspective.

First things first, why didnt AEW sell out Fyter Fest? The short answer is Fyter Fest is not a main show, its more of a B show so ofcourse its not going to sell out.

The lengthy answer is this: AEW has no TV, they have the internet and word of mouth, it was and still is widely known which shows are the big ones, last Septembers All In, Double or Nothing, and All Out. Despite not having TV and just starting, their main shows have sold out extremely quickly, with All Out being the biggest one yet, when you realise that there were 70.000 plus people in the queue at one point, and combine that with the fact most people will buy multiple tickets, it ends up with AEW being able to sell out a stadium of atleast 130.000 people, the demand undeniably was and is there, Fyter Fest and Fight for the Fallen not selling out does not take that away from them.

That said, Fyter Fest was never going to sell out, its not a big show, or a main show, and its not like they can promote it on TV where they could get a large increase in attendents like WWE can, and even with TV WWE could barely sell out Stomping Grounds, a PPV that had so few people WWE Officials were giving away free tickets at the mall.

AEW having such high demand despite not having the time or popularity WWE has had or TV is huge any way you look at it, and the truth is not every show will sell out, even with high demand, not all WWE shows sell out, New Japan doesnt always sell out, its just not a thing. AEW hasnt failed horribly for not selling out every single show, people just arent as interested in Fyter Fest and Fight For The Fallen because we all know those are B shows, All Out is the one everyones waiting for.

Now that begs the question, can they keep it up when they finally go to TV this fall? that remains to be seen, with the way things are going their first show will be a big show so that will likely be a fairly big draw, id expect them to sell out their first actual TV show as that will be a huge moment for them so we will have to wait and see.

TL,DR Chances are the only shows that will sell out are the big ones, B shows like Fyter Fest and Fight For the Fallen are not going to sell out, but even though they wont that doesnt deminish the demand, it is there, but high demand does not mean every show sells out, the B shows likely wont sell out, but the main shows will for quite some time. And dont forget, they have no TV, they have had huge success and dont even have a TV show every week, that alone speaks volumes.

Apparently, originally, they were planning on selling only 3000 tickets, but expanded it shortly before the show and added more afterwards, with them selling out a little over half the arena. It's pretty respectable for a short time. Plus, THAT level of demand for All Out is impressive. Very very impressive with very little time and a show which was the third show announced, second show, without TV starting and mainly advertising thanks to social media and the TV is only starting a bit now... Solid. I hope they continue to grow.
