I had mono about two years ago, was a month before the docs figured out what it was and then another month before I was able to go back to work. It sucked, had no energy, stayed in bed the entire time, ate once or twice every two or so days.

Even after I was able to go back to work and school it still took another month or so for me to get over that 'woozy feeling' when walking. Mono totally kills your imune system aswell and can stay in your blood stream for a long time so for the next couple of months after that I was constatly getting colds and coughs. I think it took close to 7 months for me to be completely back to normal.

Not saying it's going to take Lesnar that long, but just Mono can totally screw you over if you don't catch it soon enough.

Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has mononucleosis and won't be able to defend his title Jan. 2 at UFC 108 against Shane Carwin, UFC president Dana White texted to the Los Angeles Times.

The fight, originally scheduled for Nov. 21, was pushed back to January because of a Lesnar illness. Now, White says Lesnar has mononucleosis and can't train for six weeks, according to his text to the Times.

UFC officials said they hope to have Lesnar back in the octagon by March.

"Guys my manager Jason Genet just told me that UFC 108 is not happening," Carwin wrote at shane-carwin.com. "Brock has Mono and what the UFC has told me is that I have earned a title shoot [sic] but I have to wait for the title holder. I hope Brock gets well soon."

The Jan. 2 card, set for the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, also lost a scheduled bout between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort. Silva has what a UFC official to the Times was a "nagging injury."

The Nov. 21 card -- UFC 104 -- will feature Tito Ortiz against Forrest Griffin as its main event.

Lesnar hasn't fought since July at UFC 100. Carwin is undefeated through 11 pro fights, but has not competed since March

That PPV would have been HUGE with these two fights

Went from awesome to absolute shit. However, these injuries prove why UFC buying over Pride made so much sense. The roster just isn't big enough.
