I maybe looking into it too deeply but from the ''I love you" segment, this is definitely a lesbian love story.
Bayley and Sasha are opposites and opposites attract. Sasha is a bitchy, rude and trendy girl from Boston who struggles to express her feelings. Bayley, on the other hand is a kind, polite and dorky virgin who has no problem with expressing her emotions.
Bayley and Sasha are opposites and they can learn from each other to better themselves. I always never understood why Sasha and Bayley were best friends, since their characters don't seem to be the type to hang out with each other. But I suppose it's because Sasha secretly wants to be like Bayley and Bayley wants to be like Sasha. Sasha doesn't want to bottle up her emotions and wants to be free to be herself instead of living up to this fake persona. Meanwhile, Bayley needs to toughen up and go out be more aggressive. As the other has what the other admires then they care deeply about each other.
I don't know if that makes this a lesbian relationship. Unfortunately I don't know if anything sexual is going down, but Sasha saying "I love you, and I always will" is not something you say to your best friend. It's clearly more then that. Maybe it's a sisterly love instead of a romantic affair.
Now I am not saying that this storyline has been good, because it hasn't. What I am saying that atleast there is substances behind the love angle. There's a reason for the relationship. It's just that WWE writers are incapable to execute it correctly.
The future will be Bayley and Sasha embracing each others differences by being part of a tag team. Maybe they will be the inaugural woman's tag champions.
