Legendary Edition Halo 4 360 console now official, limited edition controllers also

Microsoft's $400 Legendary Edition Xbox 360 bundle was "officially" announced today during SDCC, despite having been ousted yesterday by IGN. As we originally heard, the bundle includes a remarkably fancy transparent Halo 4-themed 360 with blue lights and bespoke Halo sounds, two matching transparent controllers with matching blue lights, vouchers for both in-game and Avatar DLC, a headset and (of course) a copy of the game.

What we didn't know, however, was that snazzy Halo 4-edition controllers, blue LEDs and all, will also be sold on their own at $59.99 a pop, starting Oct. 21. Both controller and console are available for your inspection in the gallery below.

The console looks pretty fucking sweet and the blue lights feature and special sound effects when you turn on the console sound cool as well. I'd definitely buy it, but.. too bad I don't have the money. Plus I only got a new one last October. I'll probably end up getting the controller when the game is released. As that looks sick and the custom blue led lights look awesome on it.

not worth 400 when next gen is only 15 months away.

Yea I wouldn't go 400 on it, I hate Halo anyways.

The console itself has good artwork, but kinda just reminds me of R2D2 to be honest. I don't know why anyone was surprised at another "special edition" bundle, it happens for almost every major franchise everytime one is released.

It looks pretty awesome. And isn't 320 GB a step up from I think it was like 250 GB or something like that. If I had the money, and needed a new one, I'd probably buy it.
