You keep saying that, but the fan reaction suggests quite the opposite.

Fan reactions and drawing are two different things. The sheep who think it is so fun to scream yes would be at WWE events no matter what.

And Daniel Bryan is number 2 in merch sales in the arenas and number 4 in sales online (just for shits and giggles, CM Punk is #3 online).

John Cena, by the way is #1 in the arena and #2 online, while Ultimate Warrior is selling the most online. Considering most of his sales are driven by recent events, Warrior's sales numbers will probably go down in another month or two, meaning Cena will return to #1 and Bryan will move up to either #3 or #2. It would be highly possible that another big push for Bryan could move him up to #1 in the arena and/or online.

Who cares about merch? Pushing merch shouldn't get you a push. Ryder and Ziggler are also merch sellers, where are their pushes?

They're not on the latest top sellers list. Besides, who said merch sales alone should determine who got pushed? But, I would suggest that fan reaction+merch sales+ratings=who should probably get pushed. Considering fan reaction to Bryan, merch sales for Bryan, and high ratings on the Bryan segments (even against Kane), at least so Lockard said in another thread, I would suggest that Bryan probably should be getting pushed.

And, like I said before, "money, dear boy".

Same w/ Sin Cara if I'm not mistaken.. being a merch seller that is w/out a push.

Sin Cara's a jobber to the stars. If he sticks around until Rey finally retires and keeps his "nose to the grindstone", he could get a WWEWHC reign at some point, but his character is really only popular with kids. That's why I said that there should be more than one thing that determines who should get pushed.

I think Bryan gets another 3 month title run, my main reason being is he's better than Miz IMO and Miz had a 6 month reign including a successful defense at WM27. In addition to DB drawing more and having more buzz behind him :(

If it wasn't for that I'd probably be less understanding of the whole thing.

Point being there was a time when both DZ and Ryder were at or near the top of merch sellers. Both Ziggler and Ryder have had stretches of time where they were massively over with crowds, including both getting their name chanted during segments not involving them.

Ratings breakdowns are a terrible indicator as well. Time slots draw, and DB has been put into those drawing time slots. Not rocket science.

DB is just a boring fuck boy, my dear boy. I can't bring myself to watch the product when he is the centerpiece. He is much more cringeworthy than Punk ever was.

These past few shows and then the next several weeks are going to be the best chance of watching the product then for you.
Well after he shows up on RAW anyway, I feel they're doing a great job turning the focus back to Evolution/Shield as well as Cena+Usos & The Wyatt FAmily's feud.

I'll be interested to see (well, hear) what they do with the belt. If Bryan forfeits it as he should that is a chance for WWE to finally do something interesting.

I'm 99.5% positive he will surrender it, the main reason because I hear the execs behind the scenes are truly worried for their asset's longterm health. Plus it will make for a plausible in the WWE mind's comeback story for the fans of DB (obviously not you or I :p) and get a "cheap" draw IMO.

Personally on the RAW after Payback I want a HHH vs Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt vs John Cena Fatal Four Way for the straps but that's just not going to happen.

I think a John Cena vs. HHH match would be more likely (it wouldn't make sense storyline-wise, but hey!).

If you threw Wyatt and/or Reigns into that, they'd just be there for window dressing, as I don't think either one's really ready to be WWEWHC. And, considering how big these two "young guns" are, why would you put their "crowning moment" on free television when you can build them up to be champ and charge people money to watch it happen? Making Wyatt or Reigns Champion on the Raw the night after Payback would just be a waste.

In fact, crowning anybody in a competitive match on Raw would be a waste (that's as opposed to just handing the title to HHH, Orton, whoever), hence the discussion of having a six-/eight-/however-many-guy-ladder-match at MITB, which makes sense and is "good for business", both in-kayfabe and in-real-life.

Plus, I'm fond of how putting into a "MITB" match (because that's how they'll bill it, I'm sure) for the WWEWHC itself (as opposed to a briefcase....which I'm positive they'll have too.....it's too good a macguffin to be ignored) makes it somewhat reminiscent of the 1992 Royal Rumble, which gave Ric Flair the title (another hint to me that it's highly possible HHH wins the title at MITB, as he models himself so closely on Flair....at least they'll probably promote it that way).
