Solid opener for Impact.

Rok-C with a Russian Leg Sweep. Rok-C tries the Crossface again but her left shoulder gives out, this is from Deonna working on her arms throughout. Jericho vs Gage - Fight For The Fallen

chris-jericho-nick-gage-dynamite.jpg

Great match. I just missed this match when I fully got in to AEW which was shortly after, one of the more entertaining Jericho matches I've personally seen from his AEW career. Pace was good and fast paced, plenty of blood and tools being used. Really liked the double chair spot especially. Gage was pretty awesome, you can tell this sort of match is his usual playground. I'm now realising how much punishment MJF truly put Jericho through before their match I watched. :lol

Thanks for pushing me to finally watch this today @Hoss Delgado, I needed that reminder again

I can see why multiple people were recommending this match. It's definitely now in the top street fights/parking lot fights I've seen. Even a couple of minutes in they were doing crazy ass spots already. Sentons on to the car hoods. Match was brutal as you'd expect, and they actually made the most of being in a parking lot. Plenty of different weapons being used, and the powerbomb spots especially were vicious. The powerbomb in to the steel & then that double powerbomb to Trent in to the windshield was brutal, I felt every bit of that.

x5cqMV.gif

When they did the close-up on Trent's back. That shit must have been sore after the match. Guy took so much punishment, and this match definitely has put him on my radar even further. Orange Cassidy coming out of the trunk towards the final moments was fuckin' great. I wasn't expecting it, good way to get the tables to turn around in the Best Friends' favour.

I kept asking myself towards the end how they were even still standing, with the amount of punishment their backs took. Especially Trent. Yet he still pulled out an incredible finish on the truck at the end on to Santana that popped me huge. I'd definitely rewatch this a million times over. Icing on the cake was Sue picking them up & flipping off the camera at the end to close it out. Just another layer that made it even more amazing. Just excellent overall. Very impressed by it.

Robbie E. forearm drops Young. Robbie Irish whips and catches Young with a back elbow. Ink Inc. vs. Tag Team Champions Mexican America. Intergender match for the titles. Turning Point 2011. Shannon with a pair of quick armdrags on Anarquia and follows it up with an inverted atomic drop. Jesse Neal with a wristlock on Hernandez. Jesse Irish whips Hernandez, tries to hip-toss him but Hernandez holds his groun and knocks Jesse down with a short clothesline.

Shannon tries a move off the top but Hernandez catches him in mid-air. He took too long to contemplate his next move, and Shannon wiggles away and surprises him with a sunset flip. Gets a two-count. Ink Inc. double-teams Anarquia with a double back elbow. Shannon hip-tosses Jesse on a fallen Anarquia. Hernandez with a slingshot, shoulder-tackle on Jesse. Anarquia wears Jesse with a chinlock.

Hernandez back bodydrops Anarquia so he could splash Jesse in the corner but Jesse moves out of the way and Anarquia falls face-first on the canvas. Finally, the girls tag in. Toxxin with an Enziguri to Sarita. Toxxin clotheslines Sarita. Jesse lifts up Toxxin so she could legdrop Anarquia. While the ref is distracted with the melee outside the ring Sarita sneaks up behind Toxxin and whips her with a title strap. She pins Toxxin to retain the titles.

It was under unusual rules, as it was an intergender match of three versus three. The men saw most of the action with the women fighting in the latter half of the match.

Jesse Sorensen vs. Austin Aries vs. Kid Kash for Arie's X-Division title. Turning Point 2011. Aries and Kid start it off by double-teaming Sorensen. Sorensen gets some offense in by clotheslining Aries over the ropes and does a Senton on Aries and Kash.

Kash powerbombs Jesse. Kash with a backbreaker on Jesse as Aries stands by and applauds. Jesse gets his bearings together, Irish whips Aries and nails him with a knee lift. Jesse dropkicks Aries. Kash puts Jesse in a Surfboard, lifting him up so Aries could kick him in the chest.

Kash holds up Jesse near the steel railings as Austin executes a bottom rope suicida. Back in the ring, Kash scoop slams Jesse. Austin goes for a splash but Jesse kicks him in his chin. Kash with hard knife edge chops on Jesse's chest and there was blood trickling on his chest. It clearly wasn't scripted. Jesse tries a move off the top turnbuckles but Kash immediately jumps on him and stops him dead in his tracks with a superplex. Kash with a double underhook, Pedigree piledriver on Jesse. While Kash was arguing with the ref, Aries creeps up behind him and schoolboys him to successfully retain his title.

Kid Kash was dishing out the punishment as Austin picked-and-choosed his spots. It wasn't a triple-threat match so much as it was a handicapped match as they wanted to beat down the brash youngster.
