Monster Hunter World.

Lots... and lots... of Monster Hunter World. I'm a series vet, cut my teeth on Freedom Unite on PSP and have been with it ever since except for the 3DS releases. World is such a good game, some minor grievances like wishing there was a bigger variety of monsters than just wyverns, but MH games have free DLC so I'm sure there will be more added.

Apparently Monster Hunter World is the game I wanted Horizon Zero Dawn to be.

I originally thought Aloy was traveling the "world" hunting & killing mechanical
beasts, keeping their heads as trophies while using their "parts" to build better
weapons & body armor for herself...perhaps even eventually replacing parts of
her own body with cybernetics.

After I did some research I found out that wasn't the case...but apparently that
game I'd most like to play is the Monster Hunter series.

If you want your game to consist entirely of going out and killing monsters, then using stuff you make from their body to kill bigger and badder monsters - Monster Hunter is your game series.

Well...I'm a "Monster" guy & that does sound fun...but
then...Evolve sounded fun to me...and they (the developers)
completely fucked that up so I'll never really know.

Yup.

You can craft armor sets and weapons from basically every monster, and they're all thematically based on the monster you used the materials from.
