looking through my word folder... found some old promos I've written... I think I'll be posting those here and there... so here is one.
The crowd eagerly awaits the arrival as the lights go out. But considering what happened on Raw there is no telling but the crowd is not only at ease but is ecstatic at the sight of the familiar titantron.

The Rock comes out and the roof almost blows off of the building almost to the point Rock’s theme can’t be heard. The Rock, in his black shirt and black pants stands at the stage and pulls down his shades.
Rock: The Rock has just been all over the place lately. You see The Rock just recently had a legal battle in court. Yes it is true. The Rock not only had a battle, but The Rock had to be on the defense. Let’s go to the tapes.
The tron turns on to show a courtroom with The Rock and Trish at one table. And a cardboard cut out of CM Punk with a toy branded UCW World title taped to his shoulder and a clueless man sitting next to him. They have already gone through the beginning procedures and The Rock has the floor.
Rock: The Rock is here to state a case that THAT MAN! And please let the record show that when I say THAT MAN I am referring to that shell of a man holding the belt with that goofy smile on his face. Now it is THAT MAN that has committed the crime of slander against The Rock causing grief, depression, and mental trauma. For you see THAT MAN said that he could beat the Rock and would beat the Rock at Mania.
He insisted after a pay per view show known as No Way Out that The Rock would not get a shot and instead it would be offered to someone else and that The Rock would have to earn his spot in the match. So what did The Rock do? The Rock merely borrowed Punk’s belt. The Rock did not steal it. The Rock would never steal a thing. I’m under oath so you know The Rock is telling the truth.
The Rock shows off his smile before continuing.
Rock: Now as retaliation THAT MAN jumped The Rock, stole his belt back, then proceeded to blow up The Rock’s car before accepting the challenge that The Rock put before Punk. Now the problem there is that The Rock wasn’t threatening. The Rock merely asked politely for a match at Mania but THAT MAN wanted to play hardball… as a matter of fact… let us call THAT MAN to the stand please. Allow him to defend himself.
The clueless man stands up and carries the cut out of Punk to the stand then goes back to pick up the belt and put it on his shoulder before returning back to his seat.
Rock: Now Punk… is that your real name? Matter of fact don’t even answer that. Just don’t. We don’t want to know. Now what we do want to know is did you jump the Rock and blow up The Rock’s car? Well why is The Rock even asking that? We have video evidence that shows it. You were even proud of that incident. But you know The Rock decided not to press charges on you for that. The Rock didn’t order that you buy him a new car after that either. Oh no… instead The Rock waited and sure enough waited for you to commit the perfect crime.
Slander. Slander against The Rock. Speaking ill and false statements against The Rock as a way to try to not only elevate yourself but as a way to try to bury The Rock. A way to try to make The Rock look lower than you. Less than you. As if The Rock isn’t even in your league. You literally tried to write The Rock off as a jabroni. As someone that doesn’t even deserve to grace the grandest stage known as WrestleMania. It sent The Rock into depression and you can even ask my partner Trish there.
The Rock points towards to Trish as she nods her head with a soulful look in her eye.
Rock: It was an extremely trying time as The Rock did not even think that he deserved to compete anymore. If the world champion looks upon you and says that you’re not good enough despite how much that has been done in your time back… obviously you’re not good enough. So The Rock, as a last ditch effort went after his belt. Something that would capture his attention and returns the favor by blowing up The Rock’s car.
THAT MAN blew up The Rock’s car. As a means of retaliation, as revenge? What if Trish would have been in the car or anybody? What if it was the wrong car? What if there was someone else around… that would have been a murder committed by THAT MAN! Now tell us Punk… what exactly do you have to say for all of this. The Rock means if it is true, then obviously you won’t say anything right.
The Rock stands quietly for a little time before starting up again.
Rock: As the court can plainly see by that goofy smile on his face that he is not only acknowledging this but he feels no remorse for anything that he has done. Who is to say that Punk would not do something like this again? The Rock has stated that that belt is his life and that he would do anything for it. So it is up to The Rock to rip that belt away from him. It is up to The Rock for the safety and sanity of all that are in UCW and all around the world that THAT MAN needs to be taught a lesson in respect.
THAT MAN will continue on a rampage around the world if he keeps his belt. His ego will become bigger than that of Hulk Hogan and nobody ever thought that to be possible but it is and he is the one to do it. BUT there is a savior. There is someone out there that can take him down. There is someone that can make sure that does not happen and will be able to defeat CM Punk. Which is why THAT MAN has said that he doesn’t want another match with The Rock after Mania.
THAT MAN knows without a doubt that The Rock is the one that can take him down and will take him down and if things were to slip up in his favor he would not ever have a scare again. So this is The Rock’s chance. This is The Rock’s time to shine. This is The Rock’s WrestleMania and at WrestleMania The Rock WILL walk in to that main event match in best two out of three falls and in the end.. The Rock WILL walk out the NEW UCW WORLD CHAMPION IF YA SMELLLLLLL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN!
The people in the court start going crazy cheering and applauding as the judge tries to restore order.
Judge: I know that as a judge I should not voice my opinion but for the sake of all of us… I hope you kick that man’s ass at WrestleMania.
The tron turns off as The Rock is still standing on the stage now looking down at Punk.
Rock: You see Punk, this is just the beginning. This is going to be the biggest thing to hit UCW in history. Their first Mania can’t compare to this one. None of the matches on this card can compare to what we are going to do . We are going to bring the house down. We are going to put on a show of a lifetime. We are going to show what happens when you bring two of the most talented wrestlers in the ring one on one.
Everyone wants The Rock to go back to Hollywood. Nobody wants The Rock around. Nobody thinks that The Rock can do it. The Rock convinced those people that he can do it. The Rock knows that deep down you even know that The Rock can do it. The millions of Rock fans knows that he can do it. The Rock even knows that he still has it in him to do something. The Rock will make an impact. The Rock will show that he has what it takes.
And come Mania Punk… The Rock is going to make you his bitch. The Rock is going to grab you by your hippy hair and beat you on one side of the ring, over to the other. The submission match The Rock admits that you have the advantage but come time for the steel cage match you may consider yourself an animal but The Rock? The Rock is the hunter and The Rock isn’t going down. The Rock is going to stalk his prey and when the time comes The Rock is going to take out his prey. The Rock is going to take out the animal and show that he is better.
And then what better way to cap everything off than Last Man Standing. The last man standing will show who is the best in the business. The last man standing will show who deserves to truly be world champion. And when it’s all said and done there will be no doubts, none whatsoever that… The Rock is the better man. And you are nothing more than … a punk.
