LASIK Eye Surgery.

Google sucks balls... Won't just give me the answer to the questions I asked

Anyway, I need this surgery before April for my new job to get at least 20/60 vision. Mine is horrible.

So have any of you guys had the surgery or know anyone who has? If so, how long does it usually take to get it set up? Do they take insurance since it may be considered cosmetic? Is it affordable?

My brother had it done when he went into the police academy. He got a referral from our eye Dr and a discount it was $1500 per eye if I remember correctly or 1500 total. They don't take everyone either. You have to have better than -9 or something like that fornboth eyes combined. I don't think his insurance covered anything either and he does get military benefits.

Sheesh... I got Military Benefits (If ya wanna call em that, lol) myself, but really doubt it will help. I'll begin my new job Monday, and it looks like I have good insurance. So maybe that will help. Ouch! $1500 an eye!? Man, I don't know if I can shell out $3000 all at once.

Heck no. Those bastards made me wait five hours to get a 15 min surgery. Top it off my appointment was at 9 AM and people with 11 am appointments went before me.

At least my vision is better now plus I keep my job.

That's the good side. Wished I could get it done but I cant my eyes are to bad.
