I have had anxiety disorder since I was 16 years old, things weigh more heavily on you than the average person, and anyone who wants to say 'I HAVE ANXIETY!!!' because you get nervous before giving a speech, for example, it's not the same. For me personally, I never know whether it should be taken with a grain of salt or not. If you're a celebrity/athlete (at least in wrestling), to continue to have a career, especially in this day and age, you have to apologize, or else no one will hire you because they don't want that negativity to float over the business. Sports in general (mostly football) seem to be different, as you can beat the shit out of your woman or abuse your kid and you still have a job. In wrestling, though, when they are gearing the product towards kids and trying to promote going against bullying, there is really nothing else he could have done. If he didn't apologize and they kept him, they would probably lose business (not go out of business, never going to happen) and it would just look bad on the WWE. I always question how sincere some apologies are, as they can just be doing it to keep a job.

At the end of the day, we all have said and done dumb shit. I have said plenty of things in the past that were stupid. Live and learn. If he is truly homophobic, I think he's a piece of shit human being, but, if he was just being 'young and dumb', well, can't act like we all weren't there.

Yeah, I can of course see the humor in the irony of it all. And I can also see how some see it as his "just deserts" for being the guy that he was. But I'm kinda with Deezy. It's actually more sad than anything when you look at the full picture. He seems like he was really the worst kind of person in his younger days, and the things he said will always hang over him, but I also hope for anyone who holds such hateful opinions to grow and become a better person. It's been a long ass time since those posts were made so there's every possibility he's evolved his views on these things. At least I hope so. Guy's obviously troubled though.

That’s fair and I have no opinion on the matter. What was said, was said. That doesn’t make it right what he said, but it was said and it’s out there now and he did apologize whether you want to believe he was sincere with his apology or not.

I’m not defending him nor am I going to mock him but nobody is perfect.

How do we know someone wasn't genuine with their remorse? We don't know them personally.
