It's just the kind of person he is. He doesn't care about being considerate, he just likes to stir the plot and get clicks. It's his whole schtick. He's one of the worst people on TV by far and a shit interviewer.

It's not just him though, there is plenty of people like him on Twitter when someone passes away. People have to make really insensitive and stupid comments.
