I don't know why they need to show their financial records. A normal private citizen doesn't have to publically display their records so it shouldn't really be any different for people running for office. Everyone that runs for president in the US is rich, you simply have to be rich if you are going to go far so we don't need to see how rich they are to determine if they should be elected or not.
