WWE released Lance Cade on Friday.

He was brought back to the company this past October, but was never called up to the main roster. He worked a Florida Championship Wrestling event late last year and was never used again.

The former World Tag Team Champion was previously released from WWE on October 14, 2008. Jim Ross later stated that "he made a major league mistake while utilizing bad judgment" and that it was instrumental to his departure. J.R. also made reference to Cade having a seizure on a plane and needing emergency medical care.

His representatives said he can be reached for independent bookings via lancecade@gmail.com.

Guess they just lost interest in him. Ever notice how alot of guys from HBK's old school get's try out contracts with WWE but not of them have ever stayed long? Then again guess have to wait to see how long Daniel Bryan stays in WWE first.

No big loss then if he never made it back up to the roster. Most people did not even know he came back so it is not big deal. Most people are none the wiser. Sign him up TNA, you need him.

Cade, London, and Kendrick were all with the WWE for quite some time and were relatively successful.

Disappointing. Always saw great potential in Cade, and even if it was just sticking The Crew (him and Murdoch) back together by rehiring Murdoch, In would have been happy since they owned as a team too.

I was just going to say this.

Cade was signed to developmental in something like 2000 or 2001, and he lasted until 2008 in his first run, where he was getting a huge push. He lasted quite some time originally. London and Kendrick were successful too, although Kendrick's run in the 'E was more disjointed because he asked for his release then came back.

It's interesting you mention Danielson in the OP, because this is actually his second run in the 'E after a less successful one earlier in his career. He was signed at the same time as Cade but lasted nowhere near as long (he was released in 2001).

Yeah but they aren't there now is what I was going at. Yes they had successful stints in WWE but they didn't last. I would think HBK would of worked to keep some of them their and help push them since the guy would be "one of his boys", but maybe he didn't see anything in them either. One thing I find interesting in all the students of Michael's school, they were taught by him (and other coaches of course) but none of them have even a hint of charisma that he has. I know it's a "you have it or you don't" thing but I would think they'd get something from being a student of his besides ring skills.

Kendrick has some but not alot. Londrick had a great run as champs but I guess Vince was trying to hard to recreate The Rockers with the split, which didn't work too well. I think they'd still be in the WWE and popular if they kept them in the tag division and kept working on their mic skills.

Guy had a great look, as well as skills to back it up. I thought he would eventually get a decent run with Jericho, but apparently he fucked it all up.

His Garrison Cade gimmick was much better. I didn't like the whole hillbilly thing. I'm waiting for the Joey Matthews news next now.
