Fwiw the more i read symptoms that arent the super outwardly obvious ones i would not be shocked if a lot of people dont realize they do. Hang in there! I'm too scared to get tested

It doesn’t help the cycle either when you start coming down from the hyper fixation and you know that the inability to be able to continue on with whatever you were working on comes up and you’re unable to even just focus on it at all and you just beat your self up which makes you feel really bad about yourself we’re just makes it even worse until something really random will spark the hyper fixation again. Either on that again or something new. Which can be worse because you still wanna finish that first thing that you hyper fixated on until you didn’t.

Kids do get over medicated, but you can typically weed that out pretty fast. Most adhd meds are basically speed for kids that don’t actually have adhd.

Im like this with video games its very hard for me to finish them if i spend more than x amount of time where is an unknown and ever changing variable with no semblance of a pattern

I was diagnosed with adhd before they really had the well known spectrum they acknowledge now so I have no idea if I would be on it or not, but it’s possible.
