I believe the retirement year will be touring with Indy's around the country as the billed star facing their top guy and drawing crowds and cash. That's my guess.

That's what I was thinking, but then even after that "retirement year," I bet he comes back.

Yeah I'm not buying him sticking to this at all. I think he'll do the retirement year in WWE and after a break do the indy idea Scott brought up. He is just the kind of guy who screams that he will have to be forced to retire rather than go out on his own terms.

this is an interesting discussion, and so, he plans to retire in 3 years and i think hes way past that but hes got something left for the company, might be a hall of famer when hes done with tna wrestling, but good ton know he won't "stay forever"

there's only two reasons to come back after you retire. you can't stay away, or you need the money.

Flair has 4 ex-wives, nasty divorces, he needs the money.
foley never made BIG money when he was here, though I feel like he's still set for life, I think he came back a lot for his younger kids.

As far as Angle goes, he doesn't have any young kids who haven't seen him wrestle. He made good to great money in the wwe, though he did get divorced after that. he made ok money in TNA, so I'm going to assume he's ok for money too. Could he come back because he just can't stay away? possible. But I'm going to say he stays away.

Another reason why people keep coming back after retirement, is because the demand is still there.

Angle could still do whatever he wants, it's his career and his life. Nobody has ever told Kurt Angle what to do. Outside of a booker or coach that is.

Three more years sounds about right to me, not worth risking long term health issues by over extending his career. The guy will have a role outside of Pro Wrestling of some kind. Great talent and a true legend hope it sticks to these plans.

I expect him to return over and over again until he actually dies. It's sad to think like this but Angle's personality and attitude just points in that direction. These are just words that are a place holder and if you actually hold Angle to anything he says, you're probably just as much of an idiot as he is.

Yeah, this type of opinion has been around since 2003 when he almost missed Wrestlemania 19, lost a load of weight, didn't wrestle for two months leading up to the event...

Kurt has been proving you wrong for 10 years.... Amazing feat from super Kurt. Long live King Kurt I say!

Quoted for motherfucking truth.

Kurt no mattter his health status was/is always stealing the show he is on. He is the greatest pure pro-wrestler in history, a modern day Danny Hodge who could talk and it irks me when people besmirch him because of Twitter, if Twitter was around back in the 80s or 90s, there would be alot of guys put in Kurts situation.

I wasn't even stating anything about his actual wrestling. He is still a lunatic.

I think the point is it would better for his long term health to retire sooner rather than later. As many have pointed out the guy has nothing else to achive, he doesn't want to end up another Hogan or Flair.

What is that? being icons?

Jeez, just because a motherfucker is old doesn't mean they are useless. People still love Hogan and Flair and will want to watch them. If the demand is there, why not use that?

I don't remember people bitching about Terry Funk in ECW, or people bitching about Misawa in Japan or Mil Mascaras in Mexico.

Yeah and wouldn't you say there are just as many people who don't want to see them wrestle and think they are destorying their lengancies? Don't forget a big reason WCW went tits up is because the old guys out stayed their welcomes in main events. And that was over ten years ago think about that?
