Kris Statlander out of action with injury

AEW revealed on Dynamite that Kris Statlander is injured.

She was removed from the promotion's official power rankings on August 10 after having been ranked #2 in her division on August 3. Tony Schiavone then revealed on commentary during Wednesday's show that Statlander is of action with an injury. The nature and extent of her injury were not revealed, however.

Statlander may have suffered the injury during last Friday's taping of AEW Dark. She appeared to land awkwardly on her leg during the finish of her match against Sierra. She could be seen grabbing her right knee after delivering a big boot to her opponent. The match was taped on August 5 from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Statlander, along with Athena, had been involved in a program with Jade Cargill and her Baddies in recent weeks. The 27-year-old has won seven straight matches since being eliminated from the Owen Hart Foundation Cup in the semi-finals by Ruby Soho.
