Eden welcomes Jerry Lawler to start tonight's festivities.

Lawler welcomes us to King of the Ring and tells us what will happen tonight. We get a recap of the lead-up to tonight's show.

Byron Saxton interviews Sheamus (winner of the 2010 KOTR tournament). Sheamus says that he has to deal with the English elf known as Neville. And news flash: Neville cannot defy gravity when he's unconscious. He then vows to win the tournament.

Renee Young interviews Neville about his upcoming match. He talks a bit about his jump from NXT to WWE, and he intends to both defy gravity and expectations when he beats Sheamus.

Neville vs Sheamus (King of the Ring Semifinal)

• Bell rings, and Sheamus makes a barb at Neville's height before bullying him into the corners. Neville responds with some fast strikes until this rally is ended by an Irish Curse Backbreaker.
• After the backbreaker, Sheamus starts targeting Neville's ribs with some huge knees and another Irish Curse Backbreaker. Neville tries to get some offense in, but Sheamus keeps the pressure on his ribs. Eventually, Sheamus shoves Neville from the ring apron into the announce table. He gets in by 9.
• The pressure continues, eventually leading to a White Noise. At this moment, Dolph Ziggler comes out with a mic to taunt Sheamus. The distraction allows Neville to kick Sheamus and deliver the Red Arrow for the win.

Neville def Sheamus; moves on to Finals

After Neville leaves, Ziggler runs to the ring to get his arse kissed. A brawl ensues until a ream of referees separates the two. Sheamus' eye gets busted open during the insanity, and he looks uber scary.

Renee Young interviews Bad News Barrett's confidence going into his match. He says that R-Truth should be thinking about "Bullhammerphobia." He then addresses Neville, going so far as to call him "The Man No One Remembers" after he is done.

Byron Saxton interviews R-Truth about his upcoming match. Truth talks about spiders and facing his fears. His plan is to win KOTR and declare some things, including getting rid of all spiders and building a castle...I no word.

R-Truth vs Bad News Barrett (King of the Ring Semifinal)

• Bell rings, and Truth immediately tries to steal a win, but to no avail. Barrett responds with some big strikes, including a big boot.
• After a bit, Truth makes a quick comeback with some clotheslines and the gourdbuster. A huge dropkick after only nets him a two count.
• Truth goes for a Lie Detector, but Barrett dodges and hits Winds of Change for a two count. Truth does hit the Lie Detector, but only gets a two count when Barrett's foot hits the bottom rope.
• As Truth tries to get Barrett back in the ring, Barrett rakes the eyes. He then nails Truth with the Bullhammer for the win.

A video is played remembering the life of Verne Gagne.

Renee Young interviews Dolph Ziggler about his actions involving Sheamus. He says that he can't take Sheamus' bullying anymore. He goes on to say that Sheamus should be worried about Ziggler kicking his arse instead of kissing it.

Byron Saxton interviews Bad News Barrett about his upcoming match. Barrett responds that it's unfair that he has to face someone after dispatching R-Truth, but it's also unfair to Neville because Barrett is on a roll. He plans to steamroll Neville and take his place on the KOTR throne.

Neville vs Bad News Barrett (King of the Ring Final)

• Bell rings, and Barrett decides to take a walk outside, protesting the fact that he has to wrestle again.
• Barrett reenters and immediately targets Neville's ribs to great effect. Nevile comes back with a head-scissors and single legged dropkick. Barrett responds by clotheslining Neville out of the ring onto his ribs. A scoop slam outside amplifies the effect.
• Barrett keeps the pressure on Neville's ribs with a huge backbreaker and a modified bow-and-arrow. Neville kicks out of the hold and reverses another backbreaker attempts into some strikes.
• Barrett is clotheslined outside, and Neville follows up with a HUGE Asai Moonsault. He follows this with a springboard dropkick.
• DEAD. LIFT. GERMAN. SUPLEX.
• Neville hits a corner splash and goes for another move, but Barrett reverses into Winds of Change for two. He tries for Wasteland and successfully hits it after Neville escapes the first attempt.
• Barrett starts calling for the Bullhammer and goes for it, but Neville dodges and tries a roll-up for a VERY close two. Neville tries for the Red Arrow following the enziguiri, but Barrett rolls out of the way. Barrett follows up with the Bullhammer for the win.

After the match, Barrett crowns himself as King to Lawler's dismay. Barrett proclaims that he will rule his kingdom with an iron fist and a Bullhammer.

I had a feeling Barrett would win this. I mean, he already makes his way to the ring wearing a cape, might as well give him a crown (and maybe a scepter?) to go with it.

I want to be optimistic and say that this could be the start of a new push for Barrett, but who am I kidding? It's clear winning the KOTR tournament means nothing, as evidenced by how fast they rushed the entire thing instead of having it play out over a number of weeks and saving the finals of the tournament for the Payback PPV. Not to mention the last time someone became KOTR, it was only because they thought it would be a good way of mocking that particular wrestler (that person being Sheamus, btw... Kevin Dunn didn't like him for some reason and thought having him refer to himself King Sheamus and coming out with a cape on would be a good way of making him look stupid), not because they had any big plans for him.

Most likely, the only purpose of Barrett winning is because they want to distance him from the Bad News gimmick and having him possibly start referring to himself as 'King Barrett' or whatever is a convenient way to do it.

Now, this round of KOTR was actually enjoyable for me.

Neville vs Sheamus was a solid match. It ended exactly the way I thought it would. Makes sense and plus, if further cements the feud 'tween Sheamo and DZ.

BNB vs Truth was aight, there was nothing bad about this match. The right man advanced, thankfully!

BNB vs Neville was definitely a good finals match.

BNB had no business going over DZ in the first round, unless he was gonna win this thing. So, I'm glad about this!
After being booked like a clown this year, he now gets to be crowned the KING!
Might as well rename him to King Barrett, considering he'd stopped delivering the bad news.

R-Truth's interview with Byron Saxton almost made me turn this off. So cringe-worthy.

BNB vs R-Truth should have been a squash match, the fact that Truth actually got some offense in disappointed me immensely.
