I wanted to talk about some old school King of the Ring. This particular year King of the Ring fell on my birthday and was the 'best ppv' for me! This was my only bday present, and I would not have it any other way. I still remember to this day when Rhyno and Edge GORED and SPEARED



What are some of your favorite King of the Ring moments?

All it's remembered for is Shane/Kurt and Benoit fucking his neck up.

Look at the match card and be all X-Factor vs Hardy's in singles matches

So are you saying this the best PPV ever or best KOTR? I'm on of the few that love the main event, Kurt/Shane is a hit or miss with me just depends on what day. Also this is the night DDP's career died RIP!

My fav KOTR is still 1993 mainly because of Bret, that's about it.

The problem with '01 is it just didn't have anything memorable other than the Kurt/Shane match, but every match on the card was at least solid with some pretty good ones so it's kind of underrated in my opinion.

Am with you on this one. The main event wasn't as good as it should have been, and certainly not as good as the single matches leading up to the PPV, but still pretty solid. I do think people remember Angle/Shane more for the insane stunts and that the match itself was a little patchy. Hit and miss show for me, with just too much filler. Pretty strong KOTR tournament.

Would go along with 93 being the best, followed by 96.
