Ok, ok, I know I'm going to so get bashed for saying this. I really enjoy watching UFC, and other cage fighting leagues. Kimbo Slice of course, is a monster, a beast, a behemoth of a man. And when I watched the events occuring in the Shamarock vs. Kimbo pay per view, I freaked. Firstly, Ken gets cut during sparing. Damn, that sucks, now that he's not elligible to fight. Then, they bring in some no name, that steps up to sure suicide, if not capable of some fine fighting. So this no name steps up, and the match goes underway. I send a text message, and look up. Kimbo eats a jab straight to the head, and is down. Note that this all went down in less than twenty seconds. No name mounts Kimbo, and its over. Kimbo is so delirious that he starts actually hitting the referee. This looks, and feels so fake. I thought I was watching UFC, not TNA, or WWE. I know some one can take a jab the wrong way, but wow. For a man of that size, its appalling how this can happen to him. Now I don't want you to think I'm saying all of UFC is fake. Though this really makes me think. So my question is....

What are your thoughts?

My thoughts are that Kimbo just sucks. That "no name" is a legit MMA fighter in his prime. Kimbo would lose to anyone in the UFC, regardless of weight class. He would lose to any UFC heavyweight in 10 seconds.

EliteXC gambled on a guy that had no skill and they lost. They thought by feeding him cupcakes, they would be able to build on his myth. Unfortunately for them, they got exposed as the fraudulent promotion that they are. They set MMA back 5 years by promoting a no talent hack as MMA's top star.

I'm really getting sick of this crap going on with people calling Seth Petrulzelli a "no name" fighter and at the same time saying things about how Kimbo Slice is a top MMA fighter. Going as far as someone earlier saying he's one of the "most dominate fighters in the world"?!?!?!? It's absolutely rediculous.

People really need to stop making comments on the "dominance" of a fighter when they obviously know nothing about MMA. Slice can't even be considered a top 10 HW let alone a top 10 fighter.

Like I said before, Petruzelli is looking at a 10-4 MMA record where Kimbo is at 3-1. Seth is by no means a big name fighter but he is FAR more accomplished than Slice.

I think when people say no name it's just cause he's stuck in a nothing promotion and got a win over the only credible name in the company cause to be honest before the fight I didn't hear any talk of Petruzelli hell I don't even think anyone knew who he was. Therefore he was a no name.

The best comment about this is just go to Youtube and look for Dana White bashing the shitout of Kimbo few months back. He said that Kimbo will be murdered by any fighter in the UFC and he is not good enough to be in the UFC.
That comment itself describes the whole situation about Kimbo and his MMA future imo.

Have you seen White's recent video, where he totally calls Elite for trying to fix the fight.

I guess the florida athletic commission is indeed looking into the matter of Seth being paid more to keep the fight standing. Although Seth has gone back on his statement, saying only that he misunderstood when they told him about the knockout bonus. If this does indeed turn out to be true, and Seth WAS offered more money to keep the fight standing then indeed it would appear that the fight was rigged. The only problem here for the Kimbo fans saying that his loss was due to this rigging is that asking Seth to keep the fight standing with Kimbo keeps the fight far more in Kimbo's favour than Seth's (in the eyes of the Elite management atleast).

J-Dawg, I completely understand why they call him a "no name" fighter, because he is. I just get super irritated that people think that name recognition is important in MMA. Kimbo has a name in the business but that's about it, he is a rookie fighter at most.
