Her boyfriend of six months, New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries, was waiting in her bedroom on bended knee with four words written in red rose petals: "WILL YOU MARRY ME?"

"I didn't expect this at all," Kardashian, 30, tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview (out Friday) of the romantic, surprise proposal. "I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now."

Humphries popped the question with a custom-designed, 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond sparkler. "I just knew I wanted it to be big," says Humphries, 26, who, with the help of Kardashian's mom Kris Jenner, planned an intimate family celebration later that evening.

"Kris really didn't want a big celebration, but he had jokingly told my mom he'd be fine if there were mini-horses there," says Kardashian with a laugh. "Later that night at the party, my mom brought out two mini-horses, covered in glitter, for us! It was hysterical!"

Jitters Over Kim's $1 Million Dollar Cover

People magazine is paying Kim Kardashian more than $1 million for exclusive coverage of her engagement and wedding, sources told Page Six -- but now the mag's editors are concerned that the public fascination over the curvy beauty may be waning.
Kim's surprise engagement to NBA star Kris Humphries graced the cover of People last month, with the mag touting "the incredible proposal -- and the 20.5 carat ring." The weekly paid her $300,000 and has now made a second deal for coverage of the reality star's wedding for just over $1 million.
But some magazine staffers are concerned their investment won't be recouped, according to sources. The $1 million deal was reached after OK! magazine put in an offer of nearly double that but backed out. No official date for the big day has yet been set.

"People's Kim engagement cover sold well, but did not as well as they hoped," said a source. "Over a million copies were sold, which is good but not their best. And when you spend that much on a cover story, you expect it to sell."

A Kim-watcher added, "Some worry they'e now stuck with a big bill for the wedding." A different source said, "Some editors think the cheating scandal and the over-the-top ring and wedding could be a turn-off."

Rival In Touch this week ran a cover with the headline "Stop the Wedding! Kim Caught Cheating" and reported that Kim was unfaithful to Humphries with NFL playerBret Lockett. Kim has strongly denied cheating and announced she will sue.

Kim's shows still bring in high ratings for E! The fifth-season premiere of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" drew a record 4.7 million viewers in August. Kim remains in demand for magazine covers. A friend of hers said, "The wedding issue will be huge."
A rep for People said, "We never comment on this sort of speculation." A source inside the magazine called the $1 million price tag "insane and completely off." Kim's rep added: "Nope, not true at all. No deals have been made for the wedding."

'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' Returns to Ratings Slip

4:02 PM 6/13/2011 by Philiana Ng

How did it fare in the ratings against the Tonys and the NBA Finals?
Compared to last season's premiere, not very well.

Sunday's Season 6 launch averaged 2.5 million total viewers at 10 p.m., down from the Season 5 opener which lured 4.7 million -- the cabler's most-watched season opener to date -- and the season ender (4.1 million).

Following at 10:30 p.m., the series debut of Ice Loves Coco, following Ice-T and wife Coco Austin, drew 1.3 million and in the women 18-34 demographic, snagged a 1.86 rating.

Kardashians Win Lawsuit Accusing Them of Ruining Credit Card Company (Exclusive)

The Kardashian sisters were sued for $75 million for pulling their endorsement of the Kardashian Kard.

The Kardashian family scored a pretty significant legal victory today, successfully fending off a $75 million lawsuit claiming that Kim, Khloe and Kourtney were to blame for the collapse of a credit card company that hired them as spokespersons.

As we reported in January, Revenue Resource Group, owner of the Mobile Resource Card, sued the Kardashian sisters, mother Kris Jenner and their Dash Dolls company in state court in Fresno, Calif., for allegedly walking away from a deal to promote a branded prepaid debit card known as the "Karadashian Kard." The realty TV stars allegedly agreed to say nice things about the card in the press and on social networking websites in exchange for a flat fee and a percentage of revenue from customers who signed up. But they later soured on the arrangement when the card came under fire for high fees, terminating their deal and making disparaging comments about the card.

The company's business collapsed so it sued, claiming $75 million in damages from this alleged breach of contract, arguing that the girls not only violated a simple sponsorship deal but a joint business venture -- potentially putting the Kardashian clan on the hook for the eventual failure of the company.

But the Kardashians, repped by Michael Kump and Jeremiah Reynolds at Santa Monica’s Kinsella Weitzman Iser Kump & Aldisert firm, quickly brought an anti-SLAPP motion -- a tactic used in California to escape lawsuits that arise out of people speaking their minds on issues of public import.

That raised an interesting issue, because the Kardashians were essentially accused of breaching a contract by failing to say positive things about a credit card. Does that mean the lawsuit is a standard breach-of-contract case (not subject to anti-SLAPP motions) or is it based on the ladies’ exercise of their First Amendment free speech rights (which would allow the judge to dismiss the case)?

Judge Jeffrey Hamilton chose the latter: “We do not have a mere breach of contract action here, seeking recovery from the Kardashians of the contract damages for their breach of same,” Hamilton writes in an 8-page order obtained by THR. “Instead, we have an attempt to also charge the defendants with loss of all other business unrelated to them, specifically tied to defendants’ exercise of free speech.”

The judge then finds that the credit card company likely can’t prove that the Kardashians ruined its business. “Plaintiff alleges that is (sic) was the publicity that killed off its business and ran off other potential celebrity clients,” the judgment states. “But it was not merely the Kardashian termination letter that did it – it was the onslaught of negative coverage before and after their statement about the fees and charges associated with the card. In other words, the product’s features themselves caused the problem once they became clearer to the public.”

Ouch.

The judge has granted the anti-SLAPP motion, essentially dismissing the case. And he awarded the Kardashians $6,825 in attorneys fees. Double ouch.

The credit card company's lawyers at Miller & Ayala in Fresno did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The details of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' prenup have been released. The prenup, which Kim's mom, Kris Jenner, drew up, allows both stars to walk away with what they bring in.

Kris, who is nets $3.2 million a year, signed on to the contract which states that Kim keeps everything she owns now and everything she earns while they are married. Seeing as Kim's earnings are estimated to have been 12 million for last year, this is substantial.

Still, Kris signed and agreed to the terms. Does this mean that they are truly in love and that the marriage will last? Not in the least, but maybe it does account for something. Obviously if it was about money, Kris probably would have run instead of signing the prenup. Besides, if he can afford to get her a 20.5 carat ring, then he's probably not doing too shabby himself in the money department.

Kim K to 'In Touch' -- I Didn't Cheat, and I'll Sue

Kim
Kardashian is incensed that "In Touch" just ran a cover story which claims she has been cheating on her fiance, Kris Humphries, with NFL player Bret Lockett ... and she's threatening to sue the mag and Lockett.

TMZ has obtained a demand letter, written by Kim's lawyer, threatening "In Touch" that if it ran the cheating story Kim would take legal action. The letter put "In Touch" on notice ... the cheating allegations "are, at a minimum, damaging, defamatory, and an invasion of her privacy."

Kim's reps tell TMZ ... Kim has never even met or spoken with Lockett.

Nevertheless, "In Touch" is publishing the story in its new issue. In the story, Lockett is quoted, saying, "I knew this was a game to her, and this is what she does." Lockett adds, "She pursued me."

Kim's rep tells TMZ, Kim will sue both "In Touch" and Lockett.

Seems like Kourtney is the only smart one of the 3. She's kept a relationship for years and not rushed into marraige while the other 2 jump into marraige with men they barely even knew and I can pretty much guarantee they done it just for the publicity, at the same time, i kinda think their mother pressures them into it too, she seems like the type of person to do that.
