Kevin Owens probably re-signed because WWE is gonna let him control his own segments and character again.

This would be the dream. I wanna see him cutting some less scripted promos and shit, he certainly has the chops for it.

Vince will do anything.

The funniest part is most people probably want to do that to him in real life. That headbutt probably contained somewhat legitimate feelings :lol

Cool I like KO so I’m happy he’s staying around. You don’t want everyone going to AEW, roster will end up being bloated.

Definitely had him taking the fall at Day 1 since I thought he was on the way out, but who knows what’s gonna happen now.

Dave on today's Wrestling Observer Radio says that Kevin Owens' new WWE contract pays him somewhere from $2 to 3 million per year for the next three years, while more importantly the contract extension is NOT attached with a No-Cut agreement.
2 million would probably put him towards the bottom of the top tier full time players, 3 mil would put him in the middle of that group I believe.

I'm in the same boat regarding the match result, I have no idea where it's going to go. I could easily see every guy having a path to victory. Before the KO re-sign news I was leaning to Seth, but I honestly don't know anymore since this news and them adding Bob to the match. It really could go either way, and I'm excited to see what happens.

Owens said the decision to re-sign with WWE was easy because it was the best thing for his family.

“I’ll just say that my contract still ends on January 31, but not 2022,” Owens said. “I will still be in WWE for several years, The decision was pretty easy because it was the best thing for my family, really. When it comes to that, it’s always a pretty easy decision to take. WWE has been my home for seven years now, so I have a sense of belonging.

“Basically, I spent the majority of my career here. When you look at all the wrestling companies I’ve wrestled for, in WWE, that’s where I’ve been the longest. That’s where I need to be for the next few years. That’s how I felt and that’s the decision I made.”

Laprade added on his blog, “If you read between the lines, when Owens says he did the best thing for his family, it could mean that it was the financial aspect of the deal that influenced the wrestler to stay with WWE.”

Laprade will release his full interview with Owens next Tuesday.

Good answer Kevin Owens. Some of the ppl that turned on him for this business decisons should be ashamed of themselves. If they had a family that he has and he fights for every day then they would have easily understood his reason.

Not surprised by this news. Kevin Owens is a family guy (not a Peter Griffin comparison). Makes sense he would remain with WWE.

Vince seemingly likes the guy. Which is crazy considering that a guy like KO isn’t exactly his ideal prototype for a wrestler.

But I think it helps a guy like him and even a guy like Sami that they’re charismatic and you can plug them in anywhere on the card
