If it's against a big company that you think would be trying to settle quick for some quick cash that could be an incentive too
Exactly. A good chunk of these I assume would get settled. A proper lawyer facing a larger company generally are taught to fight more for the settlement.

The legal term you guys are thinking of is contingency. Basing your pay/billing on the outcome of the case.

Who knows... maybe he just wants to heighten his chance on a WWE contract with this talk...

The only thing he would have for wrongful termination is this:

"retaliation against an employee who has reported improper conduct, i.e. a whistleblower"

Under this he could claim that because of the news Ian reported him, he tried to defend himself and failed, and they fired him for it.

Florida is an at will state too.

Not sure reporting someone to HR is whistleblowing if the other colleague says he think you are qanon. Wouldn't shock me if his final straw was the voicemail he left for HR which he admitted.
Who knows... maybe he just wants to heighten his chance on a WWE contract with this talk...
I feel if anything WWE would stay away from him publicly. Plus it's not like they need a new commentator atm.
