“When you sign your contract, you agree to the terms. And that would include being an independent contractor.”

“The Plaintiffs (Kelly & the Tates) will run out of money before Tony Khan does. I don’t hold out much hope they’re going to get any kind of settlement whatsoever but maybe I’m wrong. I’m not a judge or a lawyer or anything along those lines.”

“I don’t like those kinds of lawsuits. I think they are frivolous. You would think that guys could get together and could work out something before going to spending their money on a lawyer who’s probably doing it on a ‘if you win, you get this, if you don’t win, no harm, no foul.’ Well, there is harm, there is foul but you knew what you were doing when you signed your deal.”

“I’m not familiar with those two wrestlers you’re talking about (Brendan and Brandon Tate). I know who they are. Kevin Kelly’s been an old friend of mine for years. I was sad to see him leave. He just wasn’t happy, I think, he wanted a bigger role that wasn’t available to him and then all of a sudden he’s gone and it’s unfortunate and sad because he has a lot to offer.”

Oh you weren't kidding he really is mad about Sting's last match. What is his relation to Sting over Schiavone and Jim Ross?

Yeah saw people memeing it online. I think the guy is legit delusional. Like the Tate twins depending on if they truly did not no show might have a case but Kevin Kelly? Nah. He got fired cause he sucked

Kevin Kelly really trying to burn all bridges in the business (not that he hasn't already done so).

Always liked The Boys in ROH though, I don't think they really panned out. It seems like they were given a chance and are bitter they failed. This one I feel like cut and dry not on Tony Khan.

That is really nothing, right? I mean... did they really have to contact any available announcer or person who can sit on their ass with a headset on and talk for every single big match to see if they would like to be on commentary for it... even though they know beforehand, who they'll give the job to in the first place?

If Kelly had some weird clause in his contract, yea sure, but I doubt that very much. :lol

And the Tate brothers... the way they immediately shoot their shots after getting released does not help their case, I'd think. Of course, it's about the facts at the end of the day and if Khan wrongfully stated that they no-showed, then they should get something for that... but they ain't gonna crash the whole independent contractor thing.

They did technically no-show, I don't think that can be argued legally especially bc that's what they're saying is the case here, it's not like Tony is suing them for no showing.

Where I have some sympathy is travel was kind of giving them the run around and their original questions and complaints were valid, but then travel never got back to them so they both didn't follow up and then didn't go to the flight either despite nothing being resolved (there is the no show). They then burned a lot of the sympathy I had by how they reacted after, but I do genuinely believe it started with bad communication and I'm sad neither side was able to resolve it

He had no history with Sting anyway, it was always Schiavone or Jim Ross.
Hell, Mike Tenay had much more history with Sting compared to Kelly.

I saw some people on Twitter pointing out typos and one funny thing where he refers to discord as part of Twitter which I'm pretty sure it's not but some people aren't just laughing they're acting like it's gonna get thrown out for them :DEAD: I honestly don't know shit about law other than what I remenber from a senster of business law and random googles usually related to wrestling stuff after but we should all be aware things like that can be corrected fairly easily and resubmitted lol it's a process but not a big deal, pretty sure the Janel Grant one had some too

Speculating but Tony may have given up on Tenay ever doing anything on camera again awhile ago, he's pretty adamant he's retired. The only appearances he's done is the TNA HOF which was so he could also honor Don West and a podcast with Meltzer when one of their journalist friends from Japan passed away

Hell, even Michael Cole had more history with Sting than Kelly, even if Sting was in WWE for a cup of coffee.

Tbh if I was Tenay and I went through approximately 14 years of Russo booking, I'd have retired too and never wanna appear on screen again.

Oh, I thought this was about them saying it was a lie that they didn't show up for dates. My bad, I messed that up.

No they are saying it's a lie, I'm just saying I don't think it technically is bc they did no-show twice on their own admission, they just presented reasons why that they think aren't their fault so it can be debated
