Okada being 36 is wild to me, first off

Second, of course you would be. You miss out on Ospreay, go land Okada. But much like the Aerial Assassin, I think AEW has a leg up on WWE in this department.

I kinda get what you mean with the Ospreay comparison but personally I think both AEW and WWE have exactly 0% chance at signing him at all lol

I think as much as it would be a huge signing in him I do think he doesn't fit wwe.

I think it's 85% New Japan, 10% AEW, and 5% WWE... and 0% TNA after they butchered him the first time lol

I can see a world he wants to try something new, but he is Japan like Hiroshi Tanahashi

I’d be shocked if he left Japan. I’m sure he could work a deal where he’d do some AEW dates if he was interested but I can’t see him going there full time

His wife is also more popular in Japan than he is I've heard so yeah leaving seems like something they wouldn't even entertain and they don't need money clearly

I don’t think anyone would treat him better than Gedo, but at the same time he’s accomplished everything you can there, right?

If Tony offered him a deal where he could do a few Japanese tours a year, he might consider that.

When Okada wrestled on Dynamite in October, the purpose of his trip was not solely to advance his feud with Bryan Danielson ahead of their Wrestle Kingdom match on January 4. That Dynamite in Philadelphia also allowed Okada a chance to acquire a better sense of AEW, which is one of the two destinations he will land if he opts to exit New Japan.

Beyond AEW, the only other possibility for Okada is WWE. The creative in WWE is headed by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, who would relish the opportunity to guide Okada to stardom in North America.

So he was scouting AEW at that Dynamite :DEAD:

I don't see him joining WWE at all. I can only see AEW at a push but it would be a deal where he lives in Japan ala PAC and Ospreay plus does NJPW stuff too

I still think he just re-signs. But the AEW Will Ospreay deal would be appealing. Idk how NJPW would feel about THAT poach though....

I know WWE is interested but ya, nah, I just don't see it. All his friends are in AEW and he would be treated like a god. Also, I look at how Nak has been booked and I'd be saying ya nah lol

fwiw, I rather he stay in Japan. as amazing as he would be in AEW, I feel like that move would hurt the balance
