Jeff Jarret wasn't backstage at Victory Road and won't be on the tapings, apparently because he "took some time off".

Sites are already especulating (steaming from a report from Wrestling Observer), that apparently it was Dixie Carter SUSPENDING Jeff Jarret and telling him to take some time off.

Meltzer also reported that Kurt Angle has been saying backstage that he won't renew his contract as long as Jeff Jarret is in control

As reported earlier, Jeff Jarrett was not at last night's pay-per-view event in Orlando with employees being informed that he is taking some personal time away. In an update on the situation, word from the locker room is that Jarrett has been removed from television indefinitely. It should be noted that Kurt Angle was grumbling about Jarrett to friends over the weekend, and openly said he had been pulled from television. Angle made it clear to people he's unhappy with Jarrett, with many feeling he's making a power play for creative control of the company. Jarrett celebrated his 42nd birthday last Tuesday with his allies telling people that he was simply on vacation when he wasn't in the office late last week. However, all indications point to Jarrett taking an indefinite leave of absence from the company. The timing of the situation is interesting because it occurred immediately after a caller who claimed to be an employee of TNA stated on Bubba The Love Sponge's satellite show last week that Karen Angle is living with Jarrett.
According to sources, it was actually Dixie Carter's decision for Jeff Jarrett to step away from his duties in TNA, not Jarrett's. "It was not Jeff's decision. It was Dixie's decision," the source said. "Very complicated issue. In fact, more complicated than anyone would believe."

It should be noted that there was a rumor going around among TNA personnel backstage at last night's show saying Jarrett was suspended


It would appear that there is something to the anonymous TNA employee's claims on last Wednesday's episode of Bubba the Love Sponge's satellite show that Karen Angle and her children were living together with Jeff Jarrett. It is now coming out that TNA president Dixie Carter ordered Jarrett to go home as soon as she found out about the person's claims, which has been described publicly as him agreeing to take a leave of absence.
At Saturday night's TNA house show in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Kurt Angle was telling people that he is going to end up with the booking control of the company that Jarrett had and that he won't sign a new contract with TNA if Jarrett remains in power. No one really know how things will transpire from this point. Angle's contract with TNA is set to expire in September and he has not yet agreed to a new one.

Jarrett was booked in segments on Sunday night's pay-per-view that were either tweaked or removed. The direction of the booking for last night's show was planned before all of this stuff went down, as is television for the next month. However, everything involving Jarrett will obviously have to be tweaked and/or removed as he was slated to further his program with Eric Young.

For the most part, the wrestlers are more sympathetic to Kurt Angle on the matter, aside from those who have close ties with Jarrett.

As noted earlier, TNA personnel are playing the tape from Wednesday's episode of Bubba over and over in hopes of figuring out the person who disguised his voice so they can attempt to find out who started the entire ordeal. Before the mystery person in question went on the air, the caller asked for Bubba to disguise his voice with some sort of distorted audio. Bubba did, so there is probably no way of telling who it was that called in.

How the fuck can you legally suspend someone for co-habbiting with a former employee. AND indeed, why would you just to appease a guy who's simply had his pride dented (Angle).... Especially someone of Jarret's 'rank'.

I understand that TNA want/need to keep Kurt happy, but at what cost? ...Surely if all this ends in Kurt's favour, then Jarret will sue TNA into the ground for some kind of wrongfull or 'constructive' dismissal and all sorts.


IF there is any truth in this story then IMO it will only lead to one thing....... Kurt in WWE.

Updates on the Jeff Jarrett-TNA situation.

*PWInsider.com can confirm that Jarrett and Karen Angle are romantically involved, as was revealed on Bubba the Love Sponge last week. As I noted yesterday, it's been an oft-mentioned rumor among wrestlers for many, many months.

*PWInsider.com has also confirmed that Jarrett and Karen Angle are not living together, nor have they ever lived together. That aspect of the Bubba call was incorrect.

*I was told by several people in the last 24 hours that Kurt Angle was aware of the relationship dating back to last fall when he was feuding with Jarrett.

*While TNA has declined to publicly comment on the situation, I am told that Jarrett's "time off" was a decision made by Jarrett, not something forced upon him by Dixie Carter.

*The decision was made after issues arose between Kurt and Karen Angle in regard to the custody of their children. The word among people at the TNA tapings is that Jarrett removed himself from his duties at TNA while that situation is ongoing. Until those issues became heated, Jarrett and Angle had been able to co-exist backstage.

*In regard to stories of Angle trying to get the TNA creative reigns, those within the company I spoke to today shot that idea down, feeling that it wouldn't happen. There is no major push for a new creative direction or team at this time.

*A number of people in the company would love to know who called the Bubba the Love Sponge show and "outed" the situation and there are some in the company that believe that the entire scenario was staged to out the issues. Why someone would do that, I couldn't begin to speculate on.

I predict by this time next year WWE buys TNA. It makes more scense that Jarrett would decided to take time off for the good of the company. I'm sure many of the things are being massively exaturated. If Angle walks at the end of his contract so be it. It won't hurt TNA. They will be just fine without him. (I'd even go as far as saying better) I think its pretty retarted for Angle to be wanting Jarrett gone because of his relationship with his ex-wife. You cheated on her, you agreed to divorce her, you can't bitch about who she dates now. If Jarrett is somehow forced out (which I don't actually believe is possible) I promise you Jarrett goes to WWE, and TNA will be gone within a year.

With rumors of Kurt Angle returning to WWE circulating the internet, ProWrestling.net confirms reports that there was some talk of it within WWE. However, when re-signing Kurt was pitched to Vince McMahon by the WWE creative team, Vince shot the idea down quickly. Vince said he feels Angle was not a “channel changer” and also cited his prescription pill issues. Prior to pitching it to McMahon, the creative team was split on the issue.
Several months ago, a WWE source said that the company would be interested in using Angle on a limited schedule similar to Shawn Michaels and Undertaker, however that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. The main concern is whether he would adhere to the Wellness Policy.

There are conflicting reports regarding Angle’s current TNA contract. Some say it expires in September, while others are under the impression that there’s another year left on the deal.

It was revealed one week ago today on the Bubba the Love Sponge satellite show that Jeff Jarrett and Karen Angle were living together. Audio of the conversation surfaced earlier this week on YouTube, but was quickly pulled when Bubba's people filed a copyright claim. The caller in question asked that his or her voice be distorted.
Below is the transcript of the phone conversation between radio host Bubba and a caller going under the alias James, who claimed he works for TNA:

Bubba: James, out of Orlando, you're on protection, James.

James: You got me on protection, yeah?

Bubba: Got you on protection, yeah.

James: I just wanted to call you up and let you know, man, you know Karen Angle - I know you and Kurt are good friends - Karen Angle is not who you think she is.

Bubba: Hold on, Karen Angle is a good friend of mine as well. I'm friends with Kurt Angle, Karen Angle... What's wrong with her?

James: I don't think she's the type of person you think that she is, man. I don't want to get into it too much, but she's actually living with Jeff Jarrett now. Her and the kids are living with Jeff Jarrett. And Dixie (Carter) is -

Bubba: Hold on. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. First of all, her and Kurt are divorced. But, you're talking about Jeff Jarrett as in the wrestler, as in part owner?

James: Yes. And Dixie is upset, man.

Bubba: You mean Dixie Carter? First of all, I don't necessarily believe that. I would probably have to heart from Kurt, Karen, or Dixie herself if Dixie's in the mix. Secondly, Dixie is the president and almost-all owner of TNA Wrestling. Sir, do you work close to the situation?

James: I work on the lot for TNA. I don't want to say much more - anything more than that.

Bubba: First of all, sir, I don't know this to be true.

James: Oh, it's true.

Bubba: Secondly, how in the hell can Kurt work with Jeff Jarrett if that's indeed the truth?

James: I don't know how much longer Jeff Jarrett is going to be with TNA. Dixie is upset. She's talking about buying him out or maybe firing him.

Bubba: Wow. Is this a thing that has just been recent or has it been long going? How can I verify this, sir?

James: Now I can't say that this was happening when she was with Kurt or that this led to the divorce or anything. This is something I just personally found out about. As much as the back-story of how long it's been going on, I don't know. It's been going on for a little while - it's my understanding. But, I do know that she is living with Jeff Jarrett.

Bubba: And the kids?

James: And the kids, absolutely. That gives you something to think about with Karen Angle.
