He's your world champ. How do you think his title reign will go? Is this leading to the taker's retirement match? Can he hold onto the belt till Wrestlemania? Will Kane get his revenge?

Discuss.

Also Kane cut an awesome promo to start Smackdown. I think he could have a nice title reign. Looks like he's finally reborn.

I know that it would be picture perfect for Kane could somehow hold on to the belt until WM 27 so it could culminate into a match with Taker. But in reality its probably not going to happen. They say that he got the strap because he's going to retire "soon". Who knows whens "soon" going to be.

If they are going to take the strap off of him, I would prefer (and it makes sense) a buried alive match against him and Taker. And I agree on his promos. He is great on the mic.

Uggh, Kane vs Taker at Mania again. Uggh.

Highly unlikely to happen. No way they'll keep Taker out that long, no way they'll drag this storyline that long, and I don't think WWE would book that as one of their top programs going into Wrestlemania. Might be proved wrong though. Anyways, I don't think this could lead to Taker's retirement. If anything, it will lead to Kane's retirement.

But anyways, I don't mind Kane as a champion. Not his biggest fans, but I think right now main eventing is where he needs to be. He's really over and Smackdown needs that hot, over babyface. He still can go in the ring and him on top is really, really new so it's all good.

That and the fact that he just doesn't seem to mesh with the current midcard. His matches with Ziggler and McIntyre were god awful boring. So I'd rather WWE take advantage of the momentum of his character and his overness to have him face the Rey Mysterios and Swaggers of Smackdown.

I've always liked Kane and it's nice to FINALLY see him on top after enduring YEARS of horrible jobbing after failed pushes. The guy is wrestling as good as he did when he came back in 2002 after being out for a while (and he changed his look). His promos are intense and brilliant. Rarely do we see ANY emotion whatsoever in any promos these days. He's become exciting again, and his segments are what I anticipate when I do get to see Smackdown.

With that said, I hope they don't job him to Rey and make this a transitional run.

Kane is truly amazing in the mic. You actually buy what he's saying, he just puts so much emotion into it.

The music REALLY helped that promo. I liked how it was almost a promo within a promo with the footage being shown.

Quick question, do you look Kane in the left eye or the right eye?

EXACTLY. Fans always respond to intense characters. Look at how over the Ultimate Warrior was back in the day. He was FARRR from a good wrestler, but his promos and the energy he gave off during his promos, excited fans and captivated them, which is sometimes all that's needed.

Kane is on fire right now (okay, bad metaphor, no pun intended, har har har) with this run. I'm so bored with these "vanilla" characters (probably 80% of the current roster) that don't put ANY emotion into their speeches or promos. Kane's dialogue is also really well spoken as well. He uses a higher vocabulary than most other wrestlers, which adds depth and dimension to his character. You almost want to believe that Glenn Jacobs literally wants to eradicate the entire roster.

I haven't seen Smackdown so I'm watching it now, and I just saw the promo and it gave me goosebumbs. He truly is great on the microphone. Wish more people were like that. :/

HELL WILL REIGN SUPREME!!!!!

Absolutely incredible promo. It's all sadly most likely leading up to Taker's yearly fall title reign and more likely Kane's retirement then Taker's. I'm really happy to see Kane where he's at right now, perhaps WWE's biggest and worst used monster... ever. Regardless of their shitty booking of Kane he's always remained a legit threat to anyone in the company and given the right push can and does look more unstoppable than anyone in the company. I'm hoping for a decent title reign for Kane, because let's face it... who better to carry that title on a baron Smackdown other than him right now. Hopefully the eventual Kane/Taker feud that does come of this is done properly this time and has a decent amount of back and forth. We all know how Kane/Taker feuds always work.... Kane takes out Taker... Kane brags for a month or so, and Taker comes back to dispatch of Kane with no problem whatsoever at the following PPV. Fuck that... Taker is weakened? Show it. Kane has the "holy grail"...show it. Have this guy go in a reign of terror like never before.

I petitioned for a reference to Katie Vick, but alas I was voted down by Freebird and Vince. I should note that Triple H was in support of the Katie Vick reference.

Because they are lonely and alone, and want the legends to come live with them inside their mother's basement where they live still at the age of 34.
