Realistic Stopspot inbound: While this is cool news, it doesn't mean there is a WWE/New Japan relationship in the works. Liger is on a special contract that allows him a lot of outside bookings. Dude is everywhere.

Doubt that the majority would come to that conclusion in the first place. If it was someone like Nakamura, or one of the other New Japan faithful then it'd be a completely different story.

If anything, I'd see WWE getting in bed with ROH in some form before they have a relationship with NJPW. Either of those happening though will still be very slim, if not nonexistent as long the executives keep up their state of mind of being the only promotion that sports entertainment thrives on.

LOL at people thinking WWE and NJPW will have a working relationship. Ain't happening anytime soon or ever.

However, it IS symptomatic they're sending Liger to direct competition. And they already sent KUSHIDA to GFW tapings.

Apparently ROH and NXT are in talks now if the Insider/Meltzer are to be believe from what I understand. Even if it is just a non aggression pact that's some mighty big "alliance" being formed right there.

I myself didn't even think about a WWE/NJPW relationship, just marking out for this match alone lol

Even though he is limited now he can still put a decent match on, will be good to see him a wwe ring, NXT smarks will go nuts for him.
