Championship Schedule

The Pepsi Max Challenge Championship will be the first competitive competition in the history of the the JSRL and they recently released the schedule for the twelve race championships that will see six road course races and six oval races. The championship will see drivers visit four continents and have a chance to show the rest of the competition not only who is the best driver, but which team is capable of putting in the hard work when it matters. ​

Race 1 : Oval Course - Autódromo Ciudad de Rafaela (Argentina)

The Autódromo is asphalt oval made up of four corners with a total length of one lap being 2.873 miles. 150 laps have been allocated to this particular racing weekend, as well as five laps allocated for qualifying.

The tyre (tire) compounds chosen for this race are the C1s, C2s and C3s. Pirelli who are supplying the tyre packages this season estimate that the C3s tyres will be perfect for qualifying.

The C3s are expected to start showing signs of degradation after a total of thirty-five laps, the C2s are expected to show signs of degradation after forty-eight laps, whilst the C1s are expected to be able to hold out until at least lap seventy. Of course - the softer the tyre compound the faster the car is likely to go. Ahead of the race weekend drivers have been allocated:

- Three sets of C1s (expected total 70 laps)
- Three Sets of C2s (expected total 48 laps)
- Two Set of C3s (expected total 35 laps)

If you wish to employ an extra set of tyres ahead of this race please inform me ahead of your tyre selection choice when you share your racing strategy below:

Example: The race is 150 laps. If you wanted to you good start on a set of C1s (the hardest compound) and potentially run for a total of 70 laps. You could then change onto a another set of C1s, and thus potentially run for another 70 laps and a total of 140 laps. You third stop would then see you change onto a set of C3s (the softest compound) to finish the race.

The trick however, is choosing on what lap you plan to make these particular tyre changes.

Please share your choices ahead of the race weekend - for which tyre set you wish to use for qualifying and which sets you wish to use for the race.

The C3s have an expected falloff point - after thirty five laps. So if you use just both sets - you will have useless tyres with 50% of the race left to go.

example: Shania starts with C3s - pits lap 35 to change to second set of C3s - tyres fully deflate lap 74 - no scheduled tyre change - the car pulls to the side of road and retires.
