Jim Ross is back with another blog update on jrsbarbq.com. Some of the highlights:

- Interesting week. The “Debacle in Denver” has had many people buzzing including some aloof, talking heads on ESPN SportsCenter who seem to get orgasmic when they get the opportunity to utilize witty banter to knock the genre of wrestling and its fan base. For the record I am NOT referring to my friend Jonathan Coachman.

I feel badly for the fans in Colorado who lost multiple WWE events because of the scheduling snafu at the Pepsi Center. Most know what a “Lewinsky” refers to so I wonder if arena scheduling issues might be referred to as “Kroenke’s” in the future?

Denver Nuggets and Pepsi Center owner Phil Kroenke likely won’t be treated too kindly this Monday night on Raw by Mr. McMahon. Kroenke’s image may make Mr. McMahon’s treatment of Ted Turner back in the WWE/WCW Monday night war feel like Ted was a blood relative of the McMahon’s.

- With Jerry Lawler wrestling in Monday’s main event, I wonder if ‘Ol J.R. will get to join Michael “Oh, My” Cole at the announce desk on Raw? I enjoyed sitting in with Cole in Louisville even though some folks are wondering why I was so “conveniently” available Monday night.

- Seriously it is a good question and we should have explained it. When Smackdown doesn’t have Monday live events we are going to record the SD WWE Superstars bout that airs on Thursday night on WGN America. This will be prior to Raw unless it is a west coast Raw and then one would assume our Superstars bout will be recorded after Raw. For those that need to know, ECW’s Superstar bout will still be recorded on Tuesdays.

- The WWE produced Monday Night War DVD set for release soon should be a dandy. I hear that Jim Crockett was awesome in his interview. The former head honcho of Jim Crockett Promotions has been off the radar for years and I will be very anxious to hear his comments. I also think WWE got comments from David Crockett, Harvey Schiller, former TBS Executive, Kevin Sullivan, and Bill Goldberg among many individuals who had plenty to say about the WWE vs. WCW rivalry. This truly should be a super DVD and one that will no doubt create controversy which equates to cash.

- I did a lengthy interview for a Batista DVD this past week in my spare time. Just kidding about that spare time thing. Batista is an interesting individual to talk about as his life’s journey as been extremely unique. Dave is lucky to not be either dead or in prison the way his younger years unfolded.

Oh joy, a Batista DVD.

Monday Night War DVD... He means the WCW DVD right? ...Must do.

I was thinking about the 'exciting' prospect of a Batista DVD the other day... Very conspicuous by it's absence.

To be honest, I'll watch it, if only as a 'last chance saloon' for him to win me over... Most intrigued to see what 'classic' matches I haven't seen (or more's to the point, see which ones i'd failed to 'realise' we're indeed classics. LOL).

9hrs of DAAAAAAAAYYYVVVE.... EPICNESS PERSONIFIED.

Big Dave on DVD? Fuck yeah! I hope it's one with alot of talking and interviews, and not just mostly matches.
Also, Legendkillerpunk... Why would they release an Orton dvd when he's only like 28? Batista is 40, and near the end of his career, which is why they are releasing a DVD of him. Orton doesn't have one yet because he still has probably 8-10 years left in him.

Edge is 35, Cena is almost 32. Don't be a fucking fanboy. Orton is the top heel in the company, he'll get a DVD at some point, but there's guys like Jericho, Taker, and Batista that'll come first, as they near the end of their career. WWE obviously has huge plans for Orton, so why make a DVD now, halfway through his career? Make one when it's all done, or almost done.
Batista on the otherhand, should be getting a DVD, and I'm glad he is.

Then don't buy the fucking DVD. How fucking hard is that? You don't want it? Good. Pretend it doesn't exist. I don't see what the issue is here.

Yeah of course it is? Is he along with 300 other wrestlers had a hard life on the streets and became a star? The only guy i think who had it kinda hard was mvp. I dunno if batista and booker t etc had real trouble growing up people say that so we feel sorry for them.. Even if they did what about Orton? He grew up around wrestling and thats what people buy the dvd for wrestling. i think Ortons story from a young age has a good point at selling the dvd. And his AWOL from the army or whatever it was.
Mike raw you need to calm down dude. Pmt or something is it?

Yet Triple H has had how many dvd's out? Cena had a DVD out by his what 4th year in WWE?

Like I said above, Cena's career is no where near over, yet he has already had one. Triple H's career was no where near over when he got his 1st. Edge still has some good years left in him, so does the Hardy's. And didn't Taker have a DVD out in 2008? Maybe 2007?

Orton doesn't need a dvd now. It's too soon. He hasn't done a lot to make the DVD good. The dvd would be dumb if they did one now and people would just shit over it.

Seriously, don't buy the damn dvd then. Pretend you didn't even know Tista was getting a dvd. It's not like you have to buy it you don't even have to watch it.

IMO a Tista DVD or Orton Then i'm going for big Dave. Orton hasn't really done that much to put on DVD as Yet. Granted Cena has one out. But TBH he is the face of wwe so it explains itself. It's all about the Benjamin's, But to be Fair it wasn't a bad DVD. Edge has one too, But again he is tag team champs how many times heavyweight/wwe champ how many times he has done a lot so again DVD worthy. But Orton although really on fire at this moment and arguably one of the best heels in the WWE he still really has NOT done enough to be credited with his own DVD and it would only be 1 disc long if that. But hey that only my opinion. But at this moment in time id rather see a Tista DVD than Orton's.

I don't really care for the prospect of a Batista DVD, but why would someone bitch about it. Who the fuck is forcing anyone to buy it?? Seriously though, it is time for a Jericho DVD. It's kind of sad that the Benoit-Angle triple threats from 2000 can't be included. Cant wait for the WCW DVD, though. That's the best thing the E does, the vintage shit!

Re: Orton DVD....

Doubt we'll see that at least until the whole betrayal by Evolution has been properly vindicated and he begins the next chapter in his career (You know, like many of us thought, would begin the night after WM25).
