I love JR, I truly do, some of my best wrestling memories has him on commentary. But there just comes a time where you have simply lost your edge and it's better to focus elsewhere where your talents are far more needed and just let young announcers flourish on their own.

Maybe I'm one of the few, but I'm *tired* of the Flair shtick. Him shambling out and embarrassing himself and taking national television time away from younger talent and further denigrating his legacy. The last thing I want is the 2001 Space Odyssey theme to play and "Wooooooooooooooooo!" to be heard while all the fans chant "woooo" out of nostalgia. Flair has worn out his welcome in WWE and it's time for him to take a backstage-ambassador role. No "GM", no "Commissioner" and no "authority" angles with Flair, Foley, Hogan and the rest of the "WCW 2000 locker room cancer".

If he comes to AEW, he should be doing things to promote the company; off camera, and they need to mandate that he's not "on the work" constantly.

Ricky Steamboat is a model of how a Hall of Famer should be used. He's an ambassador that is on TV maybe twice a year, and it's a short segment, and usually around Wrestlemania time. Flair could do that in AEW, but no; we don't need to let him come out on National Television as "The Nature Boy" strutting and doing his shtick.
