PSN game that I want to play but likely never will Journey has the most nominations this year with 8, followed very deservedly by The Walking Dead with 7 and Far Cry 3 with 6. FIFA 13 up for best game is a sham.

Why does BAFTA do video game awards? That would be akin to AMPAS doing them in the US.

I suppose video games are part of the "arts" and are just as mainstream as TV & cinema these days.

That does make sense but it still seems odd to me. I believe in the US, Spike TV does the video game awards although I could be mistaken. That's quite a step down from BAFTA.

It gets more attention than the BAFTA's though. Film and TV get BBC TV coverage, video games are streamed online. The Spike awards may lack credibility but they sure get more attention than any other video game awards ceremony. :nerd:

True enough, and Spike is probably more in tune with what gamers want to see. What the hell do I know, I barely recognize any of the names of the nominated games!
