Josh Barnett to serve as guest Noge Dojo coach
Barnett to coach Noge Young Lions this October
MMA and pro-wrestling veteran Josh Barnett will be serving as a guest coach in NJPW’s Noge Dojo this October.
Barnett, whose first NJPW and pro-wrestling involvement came off the back of his UFC career with a challenge to IWGP Heavyweight Champion Yuji Nagata on January 4 2003, and who has more recently become known for his Bloodsport events worldwide will be lending his expertise to the young talents in the Dojo. What breed of Strong Style will he impart to the next generation?
‘It’s an honour for me to be a guest coach in the New Japan Dojo, continuing a lineage of development that goes back to the work of my own teacher Karl Gotch,’ remarked Barnett. ‘I’m looking forward to seeing NJPW’s strength at its source, and to impart the same catch as catch can style that is my background and that of so many legends’
