Also, the whole “he made it bad on purpose” sounds like a trump stolen election lie. “If you don’t like it uhhhh i intended that”

I can’t see anyone putting something out there with their name on it that didn’t try to do a decent job but i could be wrong.

He never said he did

From his track record and what I’ve seen of him in interviews that’s what I think

That’s where I disagree. I fully believe that Todd Phillips thought he was making a good movie :lol

The movie was dull.

It starts with him in jail and ends with him in jail.

There’s very little character development. The musical parts stop any momentum the plot has in moving along.

The first movie did a wonderful job in weaving between what’s fantasy and what’s reality while the sequel was much more on the nose with it.

The ending was meh. It’s not why I didn’t care for the movie.

Just finished the film and I'm really torn on it as a whole. If they dialed back some of the Musical numbers it would of been so more better received for sure. I love Musicals but even I was like come on now this is not the time to do a Musical number. You hit the Nail on the Head it slowed down the good momentum this Movie had at times especially with Phoenix and Gaga. The Court room Stuff I thought was the best stuff in the Film till they wanted to add Music to it. The Scene where Arthur is talking to Puddles and he's telling him after he saw what he did how it's changed him inside and out. The Cracks was starting to show and that Scene alone is how this Film should of been from start to finish. The ending once Arthur disannounces being the Joker and it's symbol I knew that wasn't going to fly with him just being in the Jail at the end especially once Harley left him behind as well.

It's a solid film but no where near the greatness like the previous film I must admit.
