WWE star John Morrison, who will be a free agent effective next month, was in negotiations with Sal Corrente to appear at his upcoming WrestleReunion event, which takes place January 27-29 in Los Angeles, California. However, the deal fell through.

Corrente remarked the following on the WrestleReunion website regarding the final spot for their VIP lineup at the annual convention:

"One of the final spots we left open was for somebody that was "just off TV" to try and reach some younger audiences that may not be familiar with the "classics". We really thought it would be a guy ….cough… john morrison..cough.. but it turned out to be a Diva. The last spot is being held for a Japanese star."

Morrison's existing contract with WWE expires at the end of November and it is not publicly known whether he has re-signed. He was pulled from advertisements for WWE's upcoming tour of Japan, which takes place November 30 and December 1, 2011 in Yokohama. His last announced appearance takes place at the November 28, 2011 Raw SuperShow in Columbia, South Carolina.

If he doesn't stay with WWE then he should go to ROH or TNA and become a huge superstar in either industry, I belive he could become the ROH champ right away and in TNA... he could fight for the Television title.

I wonder if TNA would take him and if he could succeed.

Morrison is great in the ring, he needs to be given a real push.

I think they would take him, TNA loves new talent.... especially WWE talent. If he does go to TNA, he will be given a real push for sure and he could have some great matches against the likes of AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy etc.

Yes, TNA loves WWE Talent once they won a WWE title or their name is Christian. They usually dont push midcarders that much.

They love anyone from the WWE even if they haven't won a WWE title, just had to correct you. The reason they like to pick up released WWE superstars is because they like to push them into bigger matches than they were in the WWE so it rises interest from the WWE superstars that are still in the WWE. They see how they are getting huge pushes so they want to join TNA, get what I'm trying to say?

Everyone they have brought from WWE minus Christian, Angle, Anderson and Hardy they have pushed initially then forgot about. I cant think of one person that they truly pushed that hadnt been a former WWE champion. Maybe the only person would be DLO Brown but that has to be just for the fact that they needed the talent.

On the Anderson note, I wouldnt really say they pushed him because he had two really sucky title runs.

I mean now they Bully Ray, but he still is doing nothing.

At least he did get 2 title runs, even if they were sucky they still gave him 2 title reigns...

Yeah, but they werent even special. Like i had to think about Anderson specifically. Angle, Christian and Hardy were instant.

If you compare Anderson to Hardy, you see the differences. They made Hardy's run mean something. Anderson, it was a transitional title run. Ment nothing and was very forgettable. Like Jack Swaggers WHC run (yes, he was WHC). Wasnt a push just a "hey, lets do this for a few days".

They didn't have to be special, all those guys wanted was a title run or a push. TNA likes to give title shots to random people, Devon got a shot out of nowhere last night on iMPACT.

I for one would consider just getting a title shot a push. I would find it as an insult if they made me a transitional champion because there was no one else. Its like being picked last on a team.

Being a transitional champion is the farthest thing from an insult, are you crazy? It's not like they're giving it away to a random lower-card guy most of the time, it's usually someone on the brink of the main event that's given the belt to transition from one heel or face to another without pitting the two against each other yet.

I think that he should sign a new deal with WWE as long as he isn't dating Melina anymore. WWE have shown that they will push him to the WWE title scene but his injury and Melina's craziness put a stop to that.

If he did leave TNA will sign him and they should push him to the mainevent. He is someone that I think could make it as a transitional champion in WWE and so in TNA the equivalent would be winning the TNA title and being a long term champion.

If they're gonna rag on the guy and call him a Diva, how about going into some details?
