Melina gave the following update on John Morrison on her twitter:

"John is doing great. It's going to be awhile 'till he can wrestle again. Strength in his arm is the same since the day of surgery. He went back to the doctor this week. He's on his way to recovering. We just have to (b)e patient. I'm just happy he's not in pain and that He Is getting better."

Good to hear that the surgery went well and that he is recovering well. Sounds like the reovery time will be longer than initially reported. Initially it was 4-6 weeks but it will be longer than that and doesn't seem like he will be back until the MITB PPV.

Doubt he'll be back until Survivor Series.

Didn't he have a neck problem?

He did, he had a pinched nerve, but right after on wwe.com they estimated that he would be out for 4-6 weeks which would make his return date now to within a fortnights time. The injury must have been minimal, if you can call any neck injury minimal, for it to be such a short return time frame.

Plus he is on the MITB poster, I know that that can change but still it was released when he was injured so they must expect him back around that time.

Hopefully he will be back on his feet sooner rather than later. I just hope WWE will make it a big deal and treat him right, I read he was taking some sort of lessons to enhance his speaking/promo skills...Thats dirt sheets for you though.

Having Morrison return at MITB and actually winning one would be something to remember; that would boost Morrison all the way to almost, if not mainevent scene (at least for a while). I don't know if he'll make it to MITB, but JoMo can pretty much be relevant in any PPV at this point, since he can have a feud with R-Truth or be a part the MITB match.

Glad to hear everything went well.

However, I don't buy into any of this "longer then expected" stuff. WWE always tells you that it will be longer so when they return 2-3 months early, it's more a surprise, and way to say that they got over it faster then normal people because their entertainers dammit!

Anyways, I hope to see him soon.

Hopefully he'll be back in time for a nice run around MITB. I'd love to see him win it and cash in.
