John Morrison Injured

John Morrison underwent successful neck surgery earlier today.

WWE.com reported that the surgery was minor and his estimated recovery time was 4-6 weeks.

The injury was in fact a pinched nerve in his neck. Good to read that the recovery time is very short and that he won't miss too much time during what is arguably his biggest push to date.

Of course he gets hurt when I am supposed to go to Raw in a month. That blows but whatever rumor has it that Austin may come for that show so I am super excited. Anyway hope you get better John and looking to see you going to even bigger heights.

He has an insta-feud set up with Truth when he comes back, and seeing as how Truth is getting so much attention this injury may be the best thing that could have happened to Morrison. I never want to hear of anyone getting hurt, but now Morrison gets to play the white knight coming back from a legit injury to take out the big bad scary heel. It's the easiest way to get insanely over!

Which should be right around the time that they start building up to MITB which is in mid-July I'm thinking.

I'm betting either Morrison or Truth wind up winning the Raw one.

Everyone is saying that Morrison will have a great opportunity to get over when he comes back, but will WWE actually give him a chance? There has always been rumors that higher ups don't like him, and just recently he had the rumors of heat over Trish, but he ended up in a WWE Title match shortly thereafter.

It will come down to what faces WWE have in the mainevent scene on RAW. If they need another guy then Morrison is the easy choice, he is liked by fans and has been near that position before. He can easily be pushed into the mainevent if required. If Cena and Mysterio are the top faces in two months time when Morrison returns then I certainly see Morrison going right back to the same spot he was in before. An initial feud with R-Truth and then he will move on to a Miz or Cena feud.
